Ukrainian Defense Efforts
The Ukrainian drone that Russians refer to as Baba Yaga inflicts a big bavovna. And Russians get a taste of brimstone.

Russia’s Losses
Russia loses another helicopter.
This morning, Russian media reported that contact was lost with a Mi-8 helicopter near the border of the Irkutsk region and Buryatia.
A few days ago, another Mi-8 helicopter with over a dozen people on board went missing in Kamchatka. Although it was eventually located, everyone…
Widows Seeking Justice
This thread relates the story of widows of the soldiers that this colonel sent to their deaths and their efforts to get answers and push for his prosecution.
1/ A Russian colonel who drunkenly sent dozens of mobilised soldiers into an assault in which all were killed was awarded a Hero of Russia medal. The widow of one of the dead soldiers wants Putin to prosecute him for “mass murder and genocide of the Russian people.” ⬇️
Assault Activity Near Donetsk
Prechystivka is a small village southwest of the city of Donetsk.
“In recent days, there has been significant assault activity on the Vuhledar front. The enemy is attempting to advance in three areas: Kostyantynivka, Vodyane, and Prechystivka, with some partial successes. The situation is most difficult near Prechystivka, where the enemy has…
Evacuation of Pokrovsk
The evacuation of residents of Pokrovsk continues as Russians approach the city.
Ukrainians bid their loved ones farewell at the Pokrovsk train station on August 30, where the war’s front lines are now fewer than 10 kilometers away.
War Crimes by Russia
There are no war crimes that Russia won’t commit.
The russian occupiers use gas to conduct airstrikes in the Chasovoy Yar, Bakhmut and Pokrovsk districts. By January 2024, the Ukrainian military had recorded “only” 600 incidents of gas use since February 2022, but since then the number has increased to about 4,000. Gas attacks, most often CS or chloropicrin, occur frequently, up to 2-3 times a day. Both gases are prohibited by the Chemical Weapons Convention signed by russia and Ukraine in 1993.
The russians increased the use of banned gas almost seven times, which led to successes in the Donetsk direction, – The Telegraph
Heartbreaking Incident in Kharkiv
Just when you think Russia can’t go any lower.
There is a Twitter post about the 14-year-old who died a few days ago while sitting on a park bench during an attack on Kharkiv. She was decapitated. The post highlights social media comments in which Russians make jokes about it and about raping her corpse. It’s as disgusting as it sounds, which is why I won’t link to it.
Yes, it is just a few commenters and not necessarily representative of anything bigger. And, yes, there are assholes like that in other countries, including the U.S. But it still needs to be condemned in the strongest terms.
More Lives Lost
Russia also killed a doctor and a paramedic.
#DroneAttacks #Kherson 🚨Today a Russian drone dropped explosives on a car, killing Dr. Volodymyr Tereliuk, 60, and injuring his wife.
A doctor of oncology with 30 years of experience stayed in Kherson to treat patients.

Today, paramedic Yevhen passed away in the hospital. He was severely injured while rushing to help victims of Russian attack on Kharkiv, and got under double-tap strike by Iskander missile. The whole community is devastated. RIP brave soul 💔
Putin Remains Unpunished
Meanwhile, the war criminal responsible for the gas attacks, hospital bombings and decapitating a teenage girl is in Mongolia, which refuses to arrest Putin.
For instance, 95% of our fuel imports come from Russia, making it impossible to take actions that could jeopardize our national security. However, Mongolia has a strong civil society and a vibrant democracy, reflecting the values and beliefs of the Mongolian people.
#Mongolia won’t be arresting #Putin. Here’s why:
🇲🇳 Mongolia is deeply dependent on its powerful neighbors, Russia and China. Our government maintains a neutral stance out of necessity, given the overwhelming influence Russia has on our economy and geopolitics.
Russian Casualties
Another 1,360 Russians who should have stayed home.
1360 deceased combatants. 618,960
This is one of the larger lists he has put together.
Here are losses I could identify for September 1st.
Russian Propaganda
Meanwhile Russian TV is busy fantasizing about all the lessons they will teach Poland and the UK.
What you never hear them discuss are the retaliatory strikes that would ensue.
Attention, Poland!
Russian propagandists suggest shooting down Polish military planes flying towards the Kaliningrad region after Radosław Sikorski’s @sikorskiradek yesterday’s statement.
And they throw in a threat to Great Britain in there, as well, for good measure.

President Biden’s Stance
I’m sorry, but President Biden is just dead wrong about this. And by “this,” I mean restrictions on Ukraine hitting military targets inside Russia with Western-supplied weapons.
I hate to have to say that because he will be remembered as one of America’s most successful presidents and he saved democracy from the putrid stench of Trump.
The administration needs to get over the A. The fear of escalation, and B. The idea that we’ll have to work with Russia once the war is over. It’s not going to be possible to go back to business as usual for a very long time.
JUST NOW!!! I asked @POTUS about Ukraine’s request to lift restrictions on American weapons to strike back at russian bases
