Firing James Comey was the stupidest thing that Donald Trump did up to that point, and history will probably remember it as one of the stupidest things he ever did, period. However, he looks to have learned nothing from the experience and word is that he’s looking to fire Christopher Wray for saying the obvious, that Russia is interfering in the 2020 election.
BREAKING: The White House is preparing a shortlist of candidates to replace Christopher Wray as FBI Director.

This tidbit comes from a Newsmax reporter, who used to work for OANN. That begs the question of whether Trump is planting this piece for some reason. It’s not like it’s going to detract from dialogue about Russian interference, that’s for sure. Plus, this is what Trump said yesterday.
But Chris, you don’t see any activity from China, even though it is a FAR greater threat than Russia, Russia, Russia. They will both, plus others, be able to interfere in our 2020 Election with our totally vulnerable Unsolicited (Counterfeit?) Ballot Scam. Check it out! https://t.co/mH3vrHWvS8

And then Wray said this about white supremacists.
FBI Dir. Chris Wray testified that "people ascribing to some sort of white supremacist-type ideology" are the "biggest chunk" of racially motivated violent extremism, which is the largest segment of the domestic terrorism category. https://t.co/UG7tfswMcw pic.twitter.com/KmIqF7Nd1b

As expected, that went over like the proverbial lead balloon. Doug Collins chimed in. It’s evident what segment of America he’s looking to identify himself with.
It's time for Chris Wray to resign. https://t.co/Ymdo80EQu7

For speaking the truth? Wow. That’s how far the GOP have fallen.

It will be interesting to see if Trump tries to fire and hire another FBI director between now and November 3. That act alone would seriously shake up an incumbent’s reelection, if we were in any kind of a normal world. Here, it’s just one more epically stupid move in four years worth of actions of the same caliber. The Trump Show is a morbid, demented cartoon and it will be a delight to see it canceled.
45 more days of this. Count ’em.
