Imagine the prospect of a U.S. president threatening to “leave the country” if he doesn’t win.
More than an hour into his latest rambling campaign rally speech in Macon, Georgia, on Friday night, President Donald Trump briefly imagined a future where he loses the 2020 election to Joe Biden.
“You know what? Running against the worst candidate in the history of American politics puts pressure on me,” Trump told the crowd. “Could you imagine if I lose? My whole life—what am I going to do? I’m going to say, I lost to the worst candidate in the history of politics! I’m not going to feel so good. Maybe I’ll have to leave the country, I don’t know.”
Just stop and think for a moment, and imagine the absolute contempt for our Democracy that would lie behind this statement.
Believe the autocrat. He means what he says.
Imagine the contempt he has for our Constitution, for our government, for all Americans.
This thing knows it will lose, and it’s preparing the groundwork for its departure.
We all should assist it in its goal.

too bad trump never keeps his promises!
He says things that he truly means as if he were “joking”… There is a VERY good possibility that he will FLEE the country to run for cover, because he KNOWS he is guilty of probably hundreds of federal crimes at this point.
Good idea but not before the irons of the law are clamped on him.
Of course he’ll flee the country. First item on the agenda when the Dems get into power, is to have the courts seize all of Trumps family passports. Each and every one of them should face every charge that will be thrown at them.
Y’all stop teasing, Putin’s bitch going to pardon everyone, if it begins with he or him. He’s going to pardon. His family, pardon, his partners in crime, pardon. Himself pardon. Are maybe he resigns and gets Dense Mike to pardon him. We will have to wait and see. Bill Barr already has his pardon in his pocket. Rudy got his. If you want one just give Mark Meadows a buzz, he will hook you up. They going cheap trump needs the $$$$$$.
I imagine this will come to pass… T-rump in a nice penthouse in T-rump tower Moscow (right under Vladdies penthouse floor), stocked with never-ending burger and fries, and a load of Russian comfort women (Putin says they have the “best”). Thus avoiding extradition for the trials for Melania’s claim to support, tax evasion, money laundering, and his other crimes. Good riddance !
He’s going to head to the nearest country that does not have extradition laws.
Don’t let the door hit you in the ass on the way out!
No Way! He would be absconding from the courts! LOCK HIM UP!!!
And take your vile family and supporters with you. I. DON’T. CARE. Either way he will pay someway for crimes against humanity and tax fraud. He will.
Government needs to confiscate his passport and make sure he can’t leave on any private planes.
Sooooo, would the flight crew of Air Force One follow a direct command from Trump to make a mid flight unscheduled diversion to Moscow or any other nation without an extradition agreement with the U.S.?
I can’t think of a country that would have him. No country with a dictator wants him; he’d only cause trouble for them. And nobody else wants him.
Someplace we dont have an extradition treaty with, no doubt.
