It is not an original observation that the fact that even 5%, let alone 43% of the electorate would support an imbecile who says the things Donald Trump says on a daily basis, is cause for profound reflection. That said, Trump was stumping in Arizona — again — and he reported on revolutionary doings in California, with respect to mask wearing mandates. This must have taken place in the past few weeks since I crossed the state line.

Oh, those masks in California. Yes, now I recall, that’s exactly what I-215 looks like, as you cross Riverside County. Yep. Luckily, I was able to assume my Mad Maxine persona and race to Thunderdome.
I don’t know why Trump’s followers like to listen to this sheer idiocy. I can only surmise that they have no idea what’s really at stake and they’re too stupid to wake up until it is way, way, too late — not only for them, but for all of us. That is the terrifying reality that wakes me up in the wee hours of the night.
