Donald Trump is threatening to declare a state of national emergency in order to build his wall, which begs the question, exactly what are a president’s powers during a state of national emergency?  The answer will blow your mind. First and foremost, Trump could take over broadcasting and wire facilities, and conceivably the internet. He can shut websites down.

Now here’s a mind boggler — simply by talking about the threat of war, Trump would issue instructions shutting down websites, blocking emails and altering search results. Is that mega terrifying or what?
