Tomorrow Robert Mueller takes the witness stand to expound upon his 400 page report to Congress. Before you watch that, watch this: a five minute video, starring various Hollywood luminaries, which summarizes the Mueller report. If the common man or woman can’t wrap their head around an explanation this simple, then truly, democracy is doomed. Here’s the Mueller Report summarized in only 5 minutes-RT! #MuellerIsComing pic.twitter.com/RPNrXDga7s — Scott Dworkin (@funder) July 20, 2019 Meryl Streep commented that movie stars are frequently asked their position on political issues, “because we have the podium.” Here, the stars in question not only have the podium, but they have a right to it. Everyone in this clip is politically aware and knowledgeable about the ways of the Trump administration. Hopefully this clip will go viral.
This is fighting fire with fire, and it’s a brilliant notion. The activist’s activist, Rob Reiner, says that zero people have read the Mueller report, including the *resident of the United States, and that if they would do so, they would see that it’s “loaded with criminality.” So Reiner put together a short video with […]
Donald Trump desperately asked his knuckle dragging troglodyte followers in Wisconsin, “What’s more fun on a Saturday night than a Trump rally?” The answer: watching Robert DeNiro make history. The two-time Oscar winner is always impressive, but tonight was another career milestone. In a short, stand-up comedy monologue on Samantha Bee’s show, DeNiro displayed yet an additional facet of what we already knew was a vast acting range. Stephen Colbert and John Oliver move over. There’s a new gun in town doing political satire, and he is a pistol. What’s next, for DeNiro to host his own comedy and entertainment show? I wouldn’t put it past the man. He minces no words when it comes to Donald Trump. As a New Yorker and a successful businessman in his own right, DeNiro sees Trump for exactly the punk that he is and has said as much on many occasions. Journalists worldwide have noted that the “politicization” as the Guardian put it, of DeNiro, has been a boon for media outlets. A deeply private person, he avoided the press like the plague in his younger years, but now he’s got a passion he wants to communicate and that is, “Let’s get rid of Donald Trump.” Preach it, Maestro, preach it! The truth about Donald Trump and what a complete joke he is, is music to my ears. Trump better watch it. DeNiro seems to be as passionate about watching Trump fade into oblivion as he is about acting. And you know the level of success DeNiro has been able to generate there. I wouldn’t want to get on the wrong side of DeNiro’s passionate nature, I’ll tell you what. Plus, you know how much Trump is threatened by DeNiro, whom he dubbed a “low IQ individual,” who “took too many blows to the head.” Trump doesn’t know the difference between the movies and reality, so good. Let’s tell him that Vito Corleone thinks he’s a crooked, craven, failed casino owner, hooked up with the Russian mob, and in way over his head in his present job. Tell him it’s like Thunderdome, two actors enter, only the great one leaves. Trump won’t be happy when he sees this clip. The poor televisions at the White House. They’re trembling and looking at each other, wondering which one of them Trump will smash before he goes on Twitter for his next public meltdown. (Cue the Rolling Stones, “It’s Just Your 19th Nervous Breakdown.”)
Actor Robert DeNiro has six bi-racial children and one of them is gay, so it stands to reason that the current administration especially appalls him. He admits to being “naive” about the two terms that Obama served, thinking that that heralded a permanent change in society. DeNiro now says, like many liberals, that he had no idea how many people were against Obama, and on a racial level. DeNiro calls Trump a racist, fascist, con artist, and huckster, among other things. The Guardian: “He’s a con artist. He’s a huckster. He’s a scam artist. And what bothers me is that people don’t see that. I think that The Apprentice had a lot to do with that, which I never saw but once, maybe. It’s all smoke and mirrors, it’s all bullshit.” Would he call Trump a white supremacist? “Yes,” De Niro says instantly. And what about a fascist? “I guess that’s what it leads to. If he had his way, we’d wind up in a very bad state in this country. I mean, the way I understand it, they laughed at Hitler. They all look funny. Hitler looked funny, Mussolini looked funny and other dictators and despots look funny. De Niro is speaking just after Trump has described his longtime lawyer, Michael Cohen, as a “rat” for cooperating with federal investigators, prompting news networks to play clips from some of the actor’s greatest mobster hits, such as Goodfellas, The Godfather Part II and The Untouchables. He muses: “I mean, a mob boss calls people ‘a rat’. That means you lied and somebody snitched on you, so you did commit the crime. So that’s interesting and he makes mobsters look bad because there are mobsters who will shake your hand and keep their word. He can’t even do that.” DeNiro garnered quite a bit of criticism from his “Fuck Trump!” outburst at last year’s Tony Awards. But he doesn’t regret it. “I won’t do it again because that’s not the way to get things done. [But] I felt that this is something I should say because it’s basic. Trump is basic. He’s just a guy who just thinks he can rattle off his mouth and say anything. Well, I want to say the same thing to him: there are people who are going to say the same thing back to you, no matter who you are.” DeNiro mentions that during the midterm elections Beto O’Rourke, Stacey Abrams, and Andrew Gillum caught his eye. He also says, being born during WWII, and living through Vietnam, and 9/11 that he remains optimistic that the country will pull through. DeNiro says that one thing Trump has achieved is he has “made everybody including myself much more aware of our civic duty to stand up and make our voices heard about what’s happening in this country. We have a lot of problems that we have to work together to fix. It all sounds very noble and all that, but that’s the truth. Let’s start at home.”
Actor, singer, activist John Legend showed his disgust for Republican House Leader Paul Ryan after Ryan put out a saccharin sweet Father’s Day video on Twitter, ignoring the emotional ravaging of immigrant children and their parents being torn away...
If you’re looking for the tweet, it has since disappeared. But not before it was reported on by a number of sites (msn and business insider to name a couple). Perhaps the Idiot-in-Chief realized his response was juvenile and stupid and deleted it? Or maybe someone took away the baby’s cell phone and deleted it […]
DeNiro issued an apology, but not for the expletive he launched at Trump on Sunday night’s Tony awards show. It was an apology to Canada. Robert DeNiro was in Toronto, Canada on Monday and took the opportunity to tell Canadians exactly how he felt and apologized to Canadians for the “idiotic behavior of my president”. […]

Sometimes people in Washington get it plain wrong!
If conservatives support police killing citizens without justification, climate denial, fact denial, science denial, racist and misogynistic behavior, or a litany of other absurd points of view about numerous important issues, we call them out.
