Russians? It Will Be Barr Who Directly Interferes With 2020 Election

We have spent three years terrified that Trump’s government was doing nothing to prevent Russia from again manipulating our election in 2020. We face now a more direct and dangerous threat right here from home. It is not just some hacker here, no. It is the senior government law enforcement official, Bill Barr, who will personally engineer a maturing fascist age in the United States government. I near lost my breath early this morning upon reading the title of the article predicting just such. Yes, yes, we have talked about what he’ll do, even worried about show trials. We have not heard many direct accusations from prominent officials predictions it as a certainty. Barr will find any number of ways to mark his stamp (and that’s a powerful stamp) on 2020. Mark Hollomon is one of the most senior and respected political analysts of our age. He is everywhere now, from HBO to Morning Joe and last night, on Lawrence O’Donnell’s show. He is a friggin’ Republican hanging on “the liberal network” to possibly hide from the danger this current Republican crop represents. It was on O’Donnell’s show that Hollomon dropped the bomb. Details from Rawstory: “The attorney general, from the moment he walked into this job, has behaved in a — as a ruthless, relentless political hack and a thug and who has behaved not as attorney general of the United States,” Picture Roger Stone or Karl Rove but sitting as the most powerful law enforcement officer in the nation. It starts to soak in. “He made a travesty of the Mueller report and continues to lie on Donald Trump’s behalf at every opportunity,” Certainly so. Just imagine what a responsible A.G. would have said regarding the Mueller Report: “We have found many contacts between the campaign and Russians, very concerning contacts, but determined the evidence does not lead to a prosecutable case. However, we have found a repeated pattern of criminal activity directed by Trump himself that demonstrated an unheard of level of obstruction of justice. This criminal activity must be passed to congress for determination of the next course.” That is a truthful statement that encompasses all that was found, and what we could expect from a concerned and neutral A.G. Let it settle. Now the hammer: “He promised us it could come to a crescendo of some kind this spring which is telegraphing — given the political intent and kind of political behavior we’ve seen from him — that we are going to see Bill Barr try to interfere in the American election come this spring when he’s going to bring out a piece of cooked — a cooked investigation to try to advance Donald Trump’s political interests,”  Cooked investigations. Vase crashes. Think back to news reports from the distant past, maybe stuff you’ve read in history books. They would report on stuff in other countries, lawless terrible countries. Countries in Latin America, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, we’d hear of a gestapo police organization, working at the behest of some fascist who ruled the nation with an iron fist. These police forces would run “investigations” into political rivals which invariably ended-up in mass arrests, prison, even death, for no greater crime than opposing the current leadership. Or today. Putin killing journalists and jailing (or killing) […]

Barr About to Blow Up Washington, Its Time to “Mueller” the FISA Report

In the next week we will have the new release from Barr, one that will again separate the partisan sides in this country, and once again Barr will re-write official findings and play-up his reading of materials. No matter how much we hoped that a neutral review would put the FISA bull shit to rest, that’s just not our reality right now. When Barr gets in the way we slump our heads and silently scream. It never ends. Reports are trickling out that Barr’s own appointed A.G. found only one questionable act, one which didn’t alter any outcome and that the FBI and intelligence agencies acted appropriately along the way. Then Barr rejected the central findings and will write his own conclusions. God help us. From a Salon column published in Rawstory: The official this time is the Justice Department’s inspector general, Michael Horowitz, but according to news reports, Barr is maneuvering behind the scenes to counter central conclusions that there was nothing major amiss in the start of the investigation of all-things-Russia. Of course. Long ago, and I mean long ago, Barr made his conclusion based on Right-Wing news reports and isn’t happy about the truth as found by some weak-kneed pussss, weak kneed guy who doesn’t “get it.” The reports indicate that a low-level lawyer changed one email after the fact to bolster (not invent) a warrant, but even the re-wording “bolster” didn’t impact the outcome. Within the giant machine that is the federal government, FBI, DOJ, et. al., they were unable to find anything else nefarious. while one could question judgments made along the way by top brass at the FBI, the call to launch an investigation was totally kosher. In other words, no “witch hunt,” as charged by Donald Trump and his team of defenders. This is not news or in any way damning. In every giant investigation across several agencies, involving dozens of top people, there will be “questionable decisions.” That just “is,” especially when one side  needs a specific outcome. But Barr, who undercut the force of the Mueller Report before it came out last spring, apparently is telling associates within Justice that he personally disagrees with that conclusion. Barr is heavily invested in finding fault with the origins of the report, having separately hired Connecticut U.S. Attorney John Durham to find evidence of wrongdoing, even criminal wrongdoing. “Heavily invested.” Pffft. No shit? He is “heavily invested” without anything to do with the fact that he hired the special counsel. That’s nothing. He’s heavily invested because he knows what the entire Right expects and he’s their soldier, careers are at stake. Moreover, it is personal to Barr in that he needs Trump to win next year in order to avoid a Democrot-appointed A.G. who would review “questionable decisions” made by Barr. It is not hyperbole to say that Barr needs a victory next November to ensure his ass stays out of prison. He wouldn’t be the first A.G. finding himself in prison for trying to cover a lawless president. So here we go. Except this one is going to be worse than Mueller by a factor on a logarithmic scale because Barr only took the Mueller report from damning to nuetral. Now he is going to take a neutral report and make it criminal. Or […]

Coming Undone, “Civil War,” Witness Intimidation, Inspector Barr

Over and over, we’ve said it. Trump will not “go down” without taking everything he can with him, and increasingly, it seems he’s determined to take down witnesses, other countries, and our nation itself, if it saves His Greatness. Yesterday, in a column infested with Trump self-righteous rage-tweets, we noted that Trump floated the threat of “civil war” should law-abiding citizens determine that Trump be impeached. We were not the only one’s who noticed. Conservative columnist Matt Lewis of The Daily Beast tore into Trump’s unveiled threat: “In January 1973, National Lampoon featured an infamous cover declaring: ‘If You Don’t Buy This Magazine We’ll Kill This Dog.’” he began. “I was reminded of that when Donald Trump sent a similarly desperate tweet this weekend, suggesting that ‘If You Don’t Stop This Impeachment My People and I Will Start a Civil War.’” Of course he will. At no point in his life has Trump ever acknowledged anything greater than himself. If his presidency is threatened by Americans, he will absolutely wage war – limited only by what he’s able to get away with – on other Americans. Not only is Trump not interested in “what’s best for the nation,” not only is Trump going to spend 100% of his time and effort in saving himself, he will take hostages. Not that it should surprise anyone, after all, holding funding to Ukraine hostage for Trump’s personal gain is how he got into this mess in the first place. Trump doesn’t learn well, he will only accelerate the pace of his lawlessness. It will all come undone, absent some sort of pushback by Republicans, Republicans in office, with the ability to stop this man. Trump is also intimidating witnesses – another felony, tweeting out messages to anyone who might dare cross him. We will find you. So if the so-called “Whistleblower” has all second hand information, and almost everything he has said about my “perfect” call with the Ukrainian President is wrong (much to the embarrassment of Pelosi & Schiff), why aren’t we entitled to interview & learn everything about…. — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 1, 2019 And ….the Whistleblower, and also the person who gave all of the false information to him. This is simply about a phone conversation that could not have been nicer, warmer, or better. No pressure at all (as confirmed by Ukrainian Pres.). It is just another Democrat Hoax! — Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) October 1, 2019 “Learn everything about the whistleblower” and also “the person who gave all the false information to him.” Learn everything about him. It doesn’t take a MENSA member to note the twisted logic here. If the phone call is the only issue, and the phone call is perfect, why do we need to know anything about the “whistleblower,” Mr. “President”? Because Trump wants that whistleblower endangered, in fear. Moreover, he wants potential future whistleblowers in fear. This is the same man who called witnesses to the Mueller investigation “rats.” This is the same man who states that his supporters will erupt in civil war over his impeachment, Trump knows damn well that his “supporters” will immediately endanger this whistleblower. That is the point. We have whistleblower laws precisely because people in power could exact revenge upon the person highlighting the abuse of power. […]

BREAKING: Pompeo Was On the Ukraine Call, and Trump Pressured Aussie PM About Mueller

Wow, Two massive stories breaking just in the last thirty minutes. The Secretary of State for the United States of America, the nation’s top diplomat, the foreign affairs specialist, and perhaps the most fiendishly brilliant member of Trump’s star chamber krewe, was on the phone when Trump shook down Ukrainian president Zelensky, according to the Wall Street Journal. This was not some crime committed in isolation, it was a White House plot, a conspiracy, to hold up dollars already appropriated by Congress. Response has been rapid, and vicious: So now we learn that Pompeo was on the extortionate call from Trump to Zelensky. The Secretary of State! There is no end to this swamp. It looks like it will drown the whole lot of them. Volker and Bolton jumped ship and might be willing to testify. But their window is closing. — Laurence Tribe (@tribelaw) September 30, 2019 Meanwhile, the New York Times is reporting that Trump pressured the Australian Prime Minister to assist in investigating the origins of the Mueller investigation. Yes, Trump extorted another foreign leader for a political favor. Breaking via NYT: Trump pushed the Australian prime minister during a recent call to help Attorney General Barr gather information for a Justice Dept. inquiry that Trump hopes will discredit the Mueller investigation, according to two American officials.https://t.co/j6fmTYDFKw — Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) September 30, 2019 We are in uncharged territory, Zoomers. I do not see how Republicans can continue to defend this. At this rate, and the leaks are just beginning, Trump will not make Halloween. Speaking of “scary things,” imagine all that remains out there that we still do not know. After all, no one has yet leaked what all is really going on with Russia or Saudi Arabia. Updates coming. Here is an UPDATE: I forgot that Pompeo came out and denied ever having “seen the report” – when in fact he had been ON THE CALL – he flat lied: CNN has confirmed WSJ reporting that Pompeo was on the July call between Trump & Zelensky. When ABC asked him eight days ago what he knew about those conversations about pushing for an investigation into the Bidens, he said, "You just gave me a report…none of which I've seen." — Kaitlan Collins (@kaitlancollins) September 30, 2019 **** Peace, y’all Jason jmiciak@yahoo.com
