This just in.  Steve Schmidt, a Republican who has served on the campaigns for George W. Bush, Arnold Schwarzenegger and John McCain has left the Republican party.

And if that doesn’t make you like him yet, here is what he has written on his Twitter page:

“”Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the President.” Theodore Roosevelt, 26th President of the United States.”

Let’s hope he’s the first of many to renounce ‘President’ Trump.

  1. The PEOPLE have long renounce ‘President’ Trump so I don’t think the citizenry has much more to do than make sure the DEMs get historically massive votes in the Primaries still to come, and especially the coming Midterm Elections on NOv 6 2018!

tRump is beginning to finally stand alone in his mental illness and narcissism and surely should see the walls closing in on him. WE the people HAVE TO MAKE CERTAIN his reign of communist loving, country selling out actions for over 2 years now (more than that, actually) during 2018!

Magnitsky anyone? Please? It’s going to be another seriously damaging thorn in his side as he trades his maga hats for a crown of thorns!

  2. I have to say I have watched you on television many times. I am very proud of the stance you have taken today. I am afraid for America with this administration and their cohorts. This is a start. I very much admire your strength.

  3. This is a commendable move. Even if in your heart you are a conservative and wish for the once proud Republican party to return to its roots, this is the time to take such a stand, and hold your nose and vote Democrat in the upcoming midterms. The current crop of GOP congressmen/women need a wake up call that they are enabling this stain and aberration. If they wont exercise their job of checks and balances on an out of control president, then vote for the party that will. After that, remove the aberration and rebuild your party on its fine principles. Before it’s too late.

  4. I am wondering why most of the Republicans haven’t turned into Democrats! It’s insane over there! I turned Democrat under Nixon when it wasn’t nearly as bad!
