Gee, what a surprise. After claiming just last Friday that they “couldn’t recall” Trump using the term “shithole” to describe Haiti and African nations, Senators David Perdue (R-GA) and Tom Cotton (R-AR) have had their memories restored and can now state, unequivocally, that Trump never used the word “shithole.”
.@sendavidperdue, who originally said he did not recall âÂÂs***holeâ comments in his meeting with President Trump in the Oval Office, now tells me on @ThisWeekABC that the president âÂÂdid not use that wordâ #ThisWeek pic.twitter.com/zOituwkDgS

Perdue and Cotton both flat-out called Dick Durbin a liar, and, by extension, called their fellow Republican senators, Tim Scott and Lindsey Graham, liars, as well.
We shouldn’t expect any less. The debasing of the Republican Party under Trump continues, unabated.
As I note in a comment, below, the obvious follow-up is never asked:
”So you are not only calling Dick Durbin a liar, you are also calling Tim Scott and, by extension, Lindsey Graham, liars, correct?”
Embarrassing, if expected, non-performance from the Sunday morning Beltway interviewers.
