In plain sight no less. The plain sight part is Rudy flying to Ukraine, asking for their help.
The fire he is playing with is that he is asking them to investigate our FBI. Rudy is also asking a foreign government, to investigate a Democratic Candidate for President, Mr. Biden.
The boldness of these Rudy “foreign collaborations” are astounding, to say the least. Worked for them before after all. I guess they think:
“No Harm, No Foul” … just don’t call it “Collusion” — because as DOJ Trump-defender Bill Barr told everyone: THAT doesn’t exist.
Schiff on Giuliani’s Ukraine trip: “It just takes your breath away”
by Zachary Basu, Axios — May 10, 2019
House Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) told Axios’ Mike Allen Friday that Rudy Giuliani’s trip to Ukraine to ask Ukrainian President-elect Volodymyr Zelensky to investigate opponents of President Trump is an example of the “ethical standards of the country being dumbed down to where anything goes as long as you stay above that bar of criminality.”
I give Giuliani credit for consistency. He said just a few weeks that there’s nothing wrong with seeking help from a foreign power. … The fact that he would be so open about it, boastful almost, doing it with the knowledge and support of the president — it takes your breath away. I continue to think I’ll cease to be shocked. And then I’m shocked again. Imagine in an ordinary world, the lawyer of the president going to a foreign power and trying to encourage them to investigate the family of a political opponent. He said some people might think it’s improper. Arguably everyone thinks it’s improper. But that’s not stopping them.
The backdrop: The New York Times reported Thursday that Giuliani is planning to travel to Kiev in the coming days to urge Zelensky to pursue 2 inquiries — one into the origins of the Mueller investigation and one into former Vice President Joe Biden‘s alleged intervention in Ukrainian politics on behalf of his son.
Here we go again …
What’s next? Trump and the chain-gang flying directly to Moscow this time, to discuss the operations for “The Russian Government’s support for Trump” for this next time around?
Rudy Giuliani defends Ukraine trip to help “defend” Trump
by Emily Tillett, CBS News, May 10, 2019
President Trump’s personal attorney Rudy Giuliani says it’s his right to travel to Ukraine to “defend” his client — to try to push for investigations that he thinks could be “very helpful” to the president. The New York Times first reported Giuliani’s travel plans — he told the Times that he plans to ask Ukraine’s new president, Volodymyr Zelensky, to look into the origins of special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, as well as former Vice President Joe Biden’s son’s past connections to the country.
He said there’s “nothing illegal” about his effort to pursue probes in Ukraine, since he is not trying to carry out foreign policy initiatives on behalf of the administration.
What’s next? Brad Parscale asking Amazon to send the Alexa ‘non-stop recordings’ of any Democratic Candidate, directly to his in-box? And to the in-box of whoever is stupid enough to take-over for Manafort, as Trump’s Campaign chair? How about ‘blind copies’ of their GMail account traffic too, while they’re at it.
No “foreign policy” implications about those ‘Big Asks’ either, Rudy. Have at it.
PS. Hey Giuliani — it’s called being president of “these” United States of America.
Last time I checked, the American Constitution did not say Russia, or even Ukraine, are “assets at your disposal” — for trying the bilk the American People, once again.
Second time is the charm, they say. Also fool them twice, shame on you.
I hope there’s an Investigative Trial with Rudy’s name on it. Here deserves one, for his many misdeeds — including the latest “foreign outreach” attempt.
The Constitution requires them to ‘protect against’ ALL Threats, Foreign or Domestic. Or both.
