If you want to be a right wing talk radio host, get your audition tape ready! Oh, hell, don’t even bother with the audition tape. At the rate these guys are becoming seriously ill and dying of COVID, all you need to be able to do is tell people:

  1. that COVID is a hoax,
  2. that the vaccine is the mark of the beast,
  3. and that Donald Trump is still president,

… and you can probably land a gig.

These purveyors of mis- and disinformation are going down faster than the anvil Wile E. Coyote attempts to drop on Road Runner — the anvil that always ends up crushing Wile E.

In the news just today…

  • Dick Farrel, a Florida conservative radio host who mocked COVID and “vehemently criticized the vaccines” croaked due to COVID on August 4.
  • Phil Valentine, a Nashville conservative talk radio host who claimed he wouldn’t die of COVID but has since said he wishes he had gotten the vaccine, has been hospitalized since mid-July and today’s update on his condition is not positive.
  • Marc Bernier, a conservative talk radio host from Daytona Beach who has repeatedly expressed his anti-vax views on air, was admitted to the hospital with COVID and there has been no comment on his condition.

Not only did these jackasses harm themselves, they streamed their ignorant bleatings to their audiences, probably killing many more.

Here are a few gems from these three selfish assholes:

Farrel:

A conservative radio host in Florida who vehemently criticized the coronavirus vaccine has died of complications following covid-19, his fiancee and life-partner Kittie Farley confirmed Monday.

On Aug. 4, Farrel Austin Levitt, publicly known as Dick Farrel, died of “severe damage” caused by covid-19, Farley told The Washington Post. He was 65

Farrel previously was scathing in his criticism of the vaccine as well as America’s top infectious-disease expert, Anthony S. Fauci, calling him a “power tripping lying freak” in a Facebook post last month.

Valentine:

Nashville radio talk show host Phil Valentine remains hospitalized in critical condition with COVID-19 more than two weeks after being admitted for the disease.

Valentine — who broadcasts on SuperTalk 99.7 WTN — was known for his COVID-19 vaccine skepticism.

“What are my odds of getting COVID? They’re pretty low,” he wrote on his blog. “What are my odds of dying from COVID if I do get it? Probably way less than 1%.”

Bernier:

While he did not have specific knowledge of Bernier’s vaccination status, McKinney said that the host has made his anti-vaccination opinions well known on the air.

“If you’ve listened to his show, you’ve heard him talk about how anti-vaccine he is on the air,” said McKinney.

A lot of vacancies in right wing talk radio coming up! Of course, their audiences will also be smaller due to COVID deaths among their listeners. But, hey, the job market is hot! Grab your spot!

Oh, and way to own the libs, fellas!
