The Pittsburgh Steelers organization has announced a change in their logo in light of the tragedy at the Tree Of Life Synagogue. From the CNN story:
The image is a revamped Pittsburgh Steelers logo, with the Star of David substituting for the team’s yellow star-like design. It’s paired with the phrase “Stronger than Hate.”
Many Pittsburgh and Pennsylvania teams tweeted their support of the victims. I’m no football fan, but good for them.
The Steelers will observe a moment of silence before the game today in memory of the victims, as did the World Series game last night.
It’s going to take a lot more than a moment of silence to overcome and reverse the hatred expressed yesterday, starting at the top. #PittsburghStrong
