US Attorney's Office SDNY Dec. 12, 2018 statement: AMI has "admitted that it made the $150,000 payment in concert with a candidate’s presidential campaign."
This is—yet again—why the criminal case against Trump is MUCH stronger than the case against John Edwards. pic.twitter.com/O4wZCiA33G

So this admission was part of a non-prosecution agreement between the Enquirer and the Government. You’ll remember that Pecker, head of the gossip rag, had already procured an immunity agreement with Feds. So what can all this be but an effort to catch an even bigger fish, such as Trump himself?
One can hope.
Friends, here are the most important words: “…it’s agreement to provide cooperation in the future.” That means against the Trump Org, the campaign or the man himself. Prosecutors don’t just let offenders walk for fun—ya gotta go up the food chain to get a deal like this. https://t.co/orEvosoN4b
