Donald Trump has painted himself into a corner. When he gave his manifesto Tuesday night about what a “disgrace” the stimulus relief bill was and how he had a better idea, he blamed Democrats for stalling on the bill. In point of fact, they wanted bigger checks sent all along. Here’s Nancy Pelosi’s response.
Republicans repeatedly refused to say what amount the President wanted for direct checks. At last, the President has agreed to $2,000 — Democrats are ready to bring this to the Floor this week by unanimous consent. Let’s do it! https://t.co/Th4sztrpLV

Let’s see what happens. The House might very well pass the $2,000 revision. Or, some compromise might be made for a lesser amount but greater than the $600 proposed. One thing’s for sure, Trump can’t talk about the “cruel” Democrats after the Democratic-led House passes his proposal.
