Just because the DOJ has leaked that ‘there were no new Indictments in Mueller’s long awaited report’ — does not mean that’s the end of the story. There will no doubt be plenty of evidence, that other Justice Officials and even the Congress can and should follow-up on.
Folks at the DOJ also leaked last night: “This Report is comprehensive.” (as reported by Brian Williams.)
In other words, there will be plenty of evidence there for Justice Officials to pursue, if they are so inclined. If the “crimes” rise to the level of: “It’s now time to give a shit!”
It’s NOT over yet: Adam Schiff rejects reports that Mueller will not be indicting anyone else in the Russia probe and says he could still call on the special counsel to testify
House Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff has said that he believes there will likely be further indictments from Robert Mueller as the full contents of his report are looked at in closer detail.
Schiff suggested he would call the special counsel before a House panel if necessary to learn what is contained in the long-awaited document.
‘Well, what it means is that the office of the special counsel, which is essentially a contract attorney to the Justice Department, that that office won’t be bringing any further indictments,’ he said.
‘It doesn’t mean, of course, that main justice or the Seventh District of New York and the Eastern District or others may not bring indictments.
‘In fact, given the lengthy redactions in many of the pleadings of the special counsel eluding to other investigations, I think it’s entirely possible if not likely that there will be other indictments.

Another Senator mulls over the Legal ramifications of a then pending Mueller Report …
Blumenthal: “There Are Indictments In This President’s Future,” When He Leaves Office Or Before
JOE SCARBOROUGH: Let me ask you about the Mueller report. Do you have information to suggest that the release is imminent?
SEN. RICHARD BLUMENTHAL: Nobody knows except Robert Mueller. Nobody really has reliable information about when it’s going to come out, and even he may not know when it’s going to come out, but one of these days all the predictions will be true and it will come out.
If there is a report — you know there’s some speculation now that he may now simply say, “I did my indictments, read my — they are speaking indictments. Read the warrants, that’s my report.”
I hope, and I think he has an obligation, to do more, to actually do a report, putting together all the pieces of the mosaic about the credible case of obstruction of justice that is right now against President Trump, about other crimes that clearly there’s evidence he’s committed.
SCARBOROUGH: He’s indicted dozens of Russians. Isn’t it important for us to know what information he has on how the Russians tried, in the words of Homeland Security Secretary, how Vladimir Putin tried to undermine American democracy in 2016 and the still trying to undermine democracy now?
BLUMENTHAL: That is really the critical point here. Even more so now than ever before, according to the intelligence we’re receiving, we need to understand what Vladimir Putin and the Trump campaign may have done together, but also the obstruction of justice that was done by the president of the United States in real time.
There are indictments in this president’s future. They’re coming. Whether they’re after his presidency or during it, obviously the Department of Justice has said you cannot indict a sitting president.
The constant question that must be asked: “What would the GOP be doing now, if it was a Democratic Administration that had committed all this wrong-doing?”
Would they be quietly sitting on their hands, like frightened church-mice?
Or would they be screaming holy-hell, and raising a rabble, with chants like “Lock them up”?
When wrong-doing is condoned and not examined, or worse yet never punished — that only encourages more wrong-doing. Eventually, you end up with a president, who has no conscience, no respect for long-standing Institutions or History — and worse yet, no respect for the Law.
What if Obama had done these things?
What if a hypothetical President Hillary Clinton had — What would the Republican reaction be then?
Protecting American values (ie Constitutional principles) should not become a partisan buffet.
Respect for, and enforcing the Law, should not be optional. Especially when the offenses are repeated and significant. And intentional.

Besides: Let’s remember these little “gift packets” sent out by Mueller’s Office not so very long ago. Sent no doubt, as he was starting to compile the “comprehensive” Report of his Findings, per DOJ policy and procedures, that we are fretting about today:
Nearly three dozen sealed criminal indictments have been added to the federal court docket in Washington, D.C. since the start of 2018.
Sealed criminal court files are assigned a case number, but do not indicate the identity of the parties or the nature of the charges, so it is impossible for the public to discern what those sealed cases contain.
But several legal experts told ABC News the number of sealed cases awaiting action right now is unusual. Fourteen were added to the docket since late August alone, a review by ABC News has found, just as the midterm elections were drawing near and longstanding Justice Department policy precluded prosecutors from taking any public action that could appear to be aimed at influencing political outcomes.

Happy Festivus Day, America. This story is very far from over. By some accounts, it’s only just begun.
