It is actually surprising it has taken this long to come out.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman has been said to be bragging that he had White House senior counsel Jared Kushner “in his pocket” and, much more alarmingly, that the Crown Prince might have received highly guarded and secret intelligence from the President’s Daily Briefing when he violently cracked down on dissidents in Saudi Arabia, The Intercept reported Wednesday.
Three sources told The Intercept that Kushner had revealed names of Saudis disloyal to the crown prince. In doing so, Kushner might have signed one’s death warrant, we know one to have been killed, one tortured, in a night where the dissidents had been held within the Ritz Carlton in Saudi.
Kushner’s personal lawyer responded with a strange non-denial:
“Some questions by the media are so obviously false and ridiculous that they merit no response,” claimed Peter Mirijanian, a spokesperson for Kushner’s lawyer Abbe Lowell. “This is one. The Intercept should know better.”
Ok, but did your client do it?
You did not answer the question.
Really, is anyone surprised? Would the story shock anyone? Does any part of this not fit everything we have seen about the Trump method of operation? That the U.S. government and its “assets” (intelligence in this case) are for sale or personal use by the Trump crime family that controls it?
Would it keep Jared awake at night? Knowing that screams of torture might well be rooted in the fact that he “sold” information to someone he wanted to favor? (Jared had to see an angle in this for him somehow, correct? The information would have come from “official” U.S. channels had it been for “official U.S. purposes.” I doubt it. I suspect he sold the information because the only thing that keeps Jared up at night is lying awake thinking about all the money he will lose next year if some “angel fund” doesn’t flutter its wings over his horrid building.
Fortunately, if this report is true, horrific as it is, Jared may be kept awake at night worrying about spending nights in prison.
