Bob Ritchie, who still performs under the name “Kid Rock” despite having become a grandfather five years ago, must’ve woken up on the wrong side of the bed this morning. The aging rocker used his Twitter account to attack pop star Taylor Swift, whom Forbes named as the highest-paid celebrity of 2019, a title she also earned in 2016. At only 29 years old, she enjoys a career that is still on an upward trajectory, while Ritchie hasn’t even been able to book the state fair circuit since 2017. Here’s what Ritchie had to say about a woman who is roughly the same age as his own children.
OK, completely gross, right? We get it. You’re jealous. And sexist. And you have a lot of time on your hands. So how did the folks on Twitter react? Let’s take a look. Warning: Intense laughter to follow.

Literally any rock is better than Kid Rock. Fraggle Rock, Jailhouse Rock, the Rock, Chris Rock, a small rock that flew up from the road and cracked my windshield.

Half An Onion, a Twitter account with more than 600,000 followers, said:
I am a mostly used vegetable that has been sitting on a kitchen counter for years now and I have more followers than you, which means nothing but something tells me it will hurt your ego and that makes me happy.

I’m boycotting Kid Rock’s music because of stupid shit like this. It’s America son, people have the right to pick what party they want to belong too. If you don’t like it leave it.

Nah—the oldest move in the book is for racist, irrelevant hack musicians to take social media pot shots at actual talented superstars with moral compasses who are leveraging their fame to help people instead of bowing to a white supremacist President.
We see you, tiny.

And you, a Michigander, use the Confederate battle flag as a prop for your concerts because you want to be seen as a white supremacist because those are the only people who like your trash music… period.
Oldest move for a racist in the book.

And finally, a reminder that Kid Rock, like his friend Ted Nugent, wrote about his love of underage girls and statutory rape.
Reminder that @KidRock once wrote about his fantasy of raping young girls.
