Today, December 23, is Festivus, a holiday that originated from a 1997 episode of Seinfeld. Since its sitcom debut, it has become a part of the popular culture as a non-commercial holiday. As George Costanza’s father Frank explains, it is the “a Festivus for the rest of us”.
Watch the complete explanation from Seinfeld:
On the campaign trail, Trump vowed to bring back “Merry Christmas” instead of the more inclusive “Happy Holidays”, which is one campaign promise he has kept, wishing a “Merry Christmas” every chance he has had during this holiday season.
But is Christmas a truly Trumpian holiday? It seems that Festivus might be a better fit for our president, because of its key feature: Airing of Grievances. CNN points out that Trump is an expert at airing his grievances, something he actually does year round on his Twitter account. Here is a sample of the grievances listed there:

Arnold Schwarzenegger isn’t voluntarily leaving the Apprentice, he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 4, 2017
Yes, Arnold Schwarzenegger did a really bad job as Governor of California and even worse on the Apprentice…but at least he tried hard!

I was saddened to see how bad the ratings were on the Emmys last night – the worst ever. Smartest people of them all are the “DEPLORABLES.”

If NFL fans refuse to go to games until players stop disrespecting our Flag & Country, you will see change take place fast. Fire or suspend!
