Hallelujah! The trial of Scott Warren, the volunteer with the humanitarian group No More Deaths who faced up to 20 years in prison for helping migrants survive their desert crossing, has ended in a hung jury.

The government’s argument against Warren:

Yeah. Like I say, hallelujah. The judge has called a status conference for July 2—here’s hoping the prosecutors take the loss.

thank goodness there are still some sane people out there! What amazes me is that it was a hung jury! I would have expected it to be a clear acquittal!
