NBC News just announced breaking news that White House Communications Director Hope Hicks will resign, though the date remains unclear. The resignation comes one day after Hicks testified to the House Intelligence committee investigating the Trump campaign. Hicks has been said to have admitted to telling “white lies” on behalf of Donald Trump, but it is unknown whether this admission regarding white lies is the basis for her resignation.

Hicks has been with Trump since the very beginning of the campaign and is someone personally close to Jared Kushner and Ivanka. She is the longest-serving non-family member in the White House.
