GOP rep says Pelosi’s quote about wanting to see Trump in prison is ‘undignified’

Uh … what? For God’s sake, irony has died more often in the past two and a half years than Dick Cheney’s fortnightly heart transplants.

Henceforth, “GOP” will stand for “Gaslighting, Oafish Pricks.”

Politico is reporting that Nancy Pelosi, still locked in a battle of wills with fellow Democrats over impeachment, recently told House Judiciary Chair Jerry Nadler that she preferred seeing Donald Trump defeated in 2020 and then forced to face the music after he loses:

Nadler pressed Pelosi to allow his committee to launch an impeachment inquiry against Trump — the second such request he’s made in recent weeks only to be rebuffed by the California Democrat and other senior leaders. Pelosi stood firm, reiterating that she isn’t open to the idea of impeaching Trump at this time.

“I don’t want to see him impeached, I want to see him in prison,” Pelosi said, according to multiple Democratic sources familiar with the meeting. Instead of impeachment, Pelosi still prefers to see Trump defeated at the ballot box and then prosecuted for his alleged crimes, according to the sources.

You can certainly take issue with Pelosi’s wait-and-see strategy — and many Democrats and progressives have done exactly that — but what you can’t do with a straight face is say shit like this:

LMAO

I suppose the way to “dignify” it is to say it out in the open in front of a rabid rally crowd … and always in chant form.

Ye gods, these people really have no sense of shame or irony, do they?

Is it possible that the GOP has been in Hibernation?
They honestly don’t expect us to believe that they just found a moral backbone.

Her comment is as ridiculous as Barr and Mueller saying if you can’t indict a prez, why investigate? He will never be in prison if they don’t even hold impeachment hearings. If they don’t put his crimes on every evening news every day until election day, he WILL be elected and run the clock out on statute of limitations, the Democrats WILL lose the house, and there is no chance they will when any seats in the senate. Seems to me that unless you get Mitch McConnell out, you will never pass a bill helping Americans. For McConnell the senate… Read more »

It was just as undignified of the GOP to say that they wanted Hillary Clinton locked up.
