The party of stupid and the party of trump is at it again. The House will vote on and pass the bill tomorrow to terminate trump’s fake emergency. GOP leadership is in panic mode, trying to keep their members, especially Senators, in line and vote against the bill. And Congressman Tom Cole (R-OK) tried the laughable line that members haven’t had the time to read the bill yet.
“I do not understand the haste with which the majority is pushing this disapproval resolution through. We’ve had no time to review the bill and no committee has held a hearing or marked it up.” — House Rules RM Tom Cole, R-Okla. (and a senior appropriator) at today's hearing.

Here are some responses on twitter —
How many PAGES was the 2017 tax bill? A total of about 1100? How much time did congress have to read it? They got it on Friday night and had to vote on Tuesday. These guys have a 1 page, 80 word bill that they should be able to read in less than 2 minutes? This is B.S!

They read slowly? Do not be judgemental about people with learning disabilities. Maybe they can’t read or write English? They need time to consult with Putin? I see many plausible reasons for this.

Now that Paul Ryan is gone Tom Cole needs to actually come up with his own ideas. It’s not going well.

Trump’s inability to read/understand anything going on in DC must be due to a horrific virus that eradicates one’s intelligence, and it’s spreading among Republicans.

Let’s keep up the pressure on the GOP. Let’s keep the phones ringing in our Congressperson’s office. A few Republican senators have signaled they will support the bill, we need a few more to uphold the constitution.
