The rest of the American media, in fact the civilized world, was reporting this morning on the top story, the indictment of Paul Manafort, with the notable exception of Fox News — who offered its viewers an indepth understanding of how a cheeseburger emoji on google is defective. Fox & Friends host Steve Doocy pointed out how the cheese was on the bottom and my heavens we can’t have that, especially not on a morning where a major development has occurred in what has been touted as the greatest criminal investigation of our lifetimes, Trump Russia. Apparently desperate times at Fox News call for desperate measures. This was Foxes’ top story:

And of course it goes without saying that the two main talking points, uranium and the Steele Dossier were pushed hard.

And Newt Gingrich gave his opinion as elder statesman. In true Gingrichian form, he contradicted himself. First, his tweet from May.

Oh, well. It’s a long long way from May to October, at least for Newt.

Kellyanne Conway chimed in on Fox News as well.

“As the president has said, everyone is fully cooperating with these investigations. But the president has also made clear as recently as this weekend that he considers this a hoax and that people should be looking into campaign coordination, if not collusion, between the Clinton campaign, the DNC, this Russian dossier. The president continues to focus on what’s important.”

As does Fox News. This is going to be an interesting winter.
