Actor Christian Bale accepted the Golden Globe for his depiction of Dick Cheney in the movie, “Vice” tonight and he said that this victory would ‘allow me to corner the market on [playing] charisma free assholes. Whose next, Mitch McConnell?”

Then of course the Twitterverse weighed in.
To us, Satan is a symbol of pride, liberty and individualism, and it serves as an external metaphorical projection of our highest personal potential. As Mr. Bale's own talent and skill won him the award, this is fitting. Hail Christian! Hail Satan! https://t.co/ILuK8TFZXi

Did Christian Bale really call Dick Chaney satan? No wonder I wasn’t a fan of him. Satan doesn’t do any good…. you’re telling me DC is as evil as satan? #GoldenGIobes #thankfulicanfastforward

You spelled our former VP’s name wrong and have you read the facts of VP Cheney’s life? Satan is an apt comparison of character. “DC” is worst than Satan because the politicians there actually exist and they actually push policies that actually hurt real people. pic.twitter.com/0tvgcjjQC3

Does anybody else remember the Cheney/Satan bumper stickers? It sounded like the quintessential Republican ticket to me. But that was long before they cobbled together this shitshow.
Do you suppose Mike Pence was watching the broadcast? I was just thinking that he must have fainted while eating his vanilla wafers and milk.
