Melania’s Hospital Stay Was More Than Fishy It Was A Total Lie

In the Watergate era when Nixon would tell a whopper and then contradict himself, then-press secretary Ron Zieglar would characterize the invalidated statement as “no longer operative.” The Trump administration is carrying on that tradition. Melania Trump dropped from sight from May 10 to June 6, ostensibly recovering from an embolism procedure that takes 45 […]

There Is Nothing So Wretched that KellyAnne Cannot Make Worse

Nothing, and I mean nothing, makes me miss President Obama more than an appearance by Kellyanne Conway on my electric TV. Obviously, you might retort; “But of course Trump is ten times worse because he is the actual president.” Oh, yeah? Except Trump does something that makes me want to crawl under the Earth’s crust, and then Kellyanne appears on television to explain why I don’t see Trump’s inner-genius. I am more bothered by the actual human being knowing she is being a lesser life form than the lesser life form not understanding what it is to be human. If you follow what I just wrote, congrats. I sure don’t. But it feels right. Anyway, today, Kellyanne went wandering into the her favorite habitat, her land of milk and honey, the Eden we call hell, aka “Fox News.” But even Fox appeared turned off by the “president’s” ridiculous conspiracy tweet involving the Clintons. So, she got asked to explain the dangerous idiocy. Something about the question made Kellyanne sick to her stomach, because she threw-up sentence-like fragments all over my television. Now you’re asking “How bad was it, ’cause I ain’t goin’ over there to find out.” Your loyal servant as always: “I think the president just wants everything to be investigated,” Conway told Fox News’ Bill Hemmer. “There was some unsealed information implicating some people very high up.” She continued: “I will say, Bill, that there’s always this rush to ‘we need transparency, we need accountability,’ when it involves fictional accusations like collusion with Russia to swing an election. This seems to be very concrete in that Jeffrey Epstein has done some very bad things over a number of years.” Yes, there were some high-up people implicated, people like your boss, who specializes in projection. And, Kellyanne? You still didn’t answer the question. Readers? I need your help in deciphering what the ever-living-fuck the “rush to judgment” in the Russia thing has to do with anything about anything besides why Trump should be impeached. Every time I hear Kellyanne speak, I feel IQ points slipping out of my skull. You folks carrying around 140 of those things wouldn’t even miss them. I am down around 88, lose a couple and I am having trouble making change for a dollar. The only, and I mean the only, delicious irony to all this, is that she happens to be married to a man who, if they speak at all, tells her that she works for the worst president in history. He probably reminds her that she is wasting what might have been a decent career as a small town real-estate agent, had she ever learned to keep her mouth shut. I bet they don’t sleep together, either, but now we’re getting pretty far afield. A field I don’t want to even see. I should stop now, for my health and yours. As I noted, nothing quite bothers me like … no, no, my therapist said “deep breaths, deep breaths.” **** Peace, y’all. Jason jmiciak@yahoo.com

Tipsy or the Teleprompter? Jeannine Pirro Tries To Walk Back Saturday Night’s Spectacle

Jeannine Pirro’s Saturday night show has gotten loads of attention, due to the fact that she was broadcasting from home and gave every indication of being inebriated. If you haven’t seen the video in question, here’s the link to my earlier piece on this subject. Pirro immediately got savaged on social media, with everybody and their uncle calling attention to the similarities between comedienne Cecily Strong’s SNL impersonation of Pirro (see link above) and the real thing on her March 28 show. The broadcast started about fifteen minutes late and when Pirro did appear on camera, she was uncharacteristically disheveled. Then when she spoke, she sounded drunk. Fox News hastily issued a statement to the effect of this being her first broadcast from home and experiencing technical difficulties. Here’s a tweet which shows Pirro putting down her glass, purportedly. Watch the beginning of the video very closely and look to the right of Pirro on the screen. This is blown up later at the end of the clip. Beyond parody. You can actually see Jeanine Pirro putting down her drink at the top of her show tonight…which was delayed due to “technical difficulties”. pic.twitter.com/5hOC11BFtM — ElElegante101 (@skolanach) March 29, 2020 At one point a heavily inebriated Judge Jeanine is slowly nodding off while her guest talks. A quick-thinking producer gets her off screen by throwing up a graphic of "mental health tips." The first tip is "AVOID NAPS"!!!! pic.twitter.com/h16JkzldrH — John Teti (@johnteti) March 29, 2020 Has anyone noticed that a number of Trump's most passionate fans ("Judge" Jeanine, Giuliani, Kudlow) often appear to be drunk as a skunk when they defend him on TV? https://t.co/mlKghFoKSB — Jeet Heer (@HeerJeet) March 29, 2020 Keep hating. U wear it well. — Jeanine Pirro (@JudgeJeanine) March 29, 2020 In reading Pirro’s tweets from time to time, I have noticed that she’s like Donald Trump. Anything he doesn’t like is labelled “fake news.” Anything she doesn’t like is labelled “hate.” Life is not that black and white. The above and this tweet below, constitute Pirro’s defense. No that’s an ifb grabbing my hair and no staff around to notice. I was in a truck where that was not prepared to broadcast bec we had no connection , no visual and no teleprompter. — Jeanine Pirro (@JudgeJeanine) March 29, 2020 An “ifb” is an audio device. However, the messy hairdo was not nearly so condemning as her speech. The Wrap: Pirro’s speaking was notably loose throughout the broadcast — which a network spokesperson attributed to the lack of a teleprompter in the host’s first broadcast from home. “Just the other … day the president talked, or was hoping, about the possibility of reopening everything on Easter Sunday, uh, in a way where we could kind of come out of this quarantine, as loose as it may be, that we’re involved in,” Pirro said at one point. An individual close to the network “absolutely” denied that Pirro was intoxicated and said the former prosecutor does not even drink alcohol. Now, I don’t know about other media outlets, but this one, PolitiZoom, was asked by Fox News via email earlier today to modify the headline saying Pirro was drunk, based upon this source “close to the network” saying that she doesn’t drink at all. Here is what I […]

Stephen King Offers $75,000 To Stephanie Grisham If She’ll Just Do Her Job

Two masters of fiction are putting Stephanie Grisham in a corner and it will be interesting to see what her particular character dictates that she do. I’ll match that, making $150,000. But full press corps. https://t.co/ToewY1Qr5J — Stephen King (@StephenKing) January 8, 2020 This is delicious. How can she refuse? And it’s high time that this issue be confronted. The Trump administration’s watch word is “none of your business.” We’re not supposed to hear from witnesses at the impeachment trial, we’re not supposed to know how foreign policy is being conducted, we’re just supposed to sit in the dark, in what amounts to a press blackout. Good for King and Winslow calling bullshit. My prediction? I don’t think Grisham will take the money, because her position is indefensible, like that of her boss. You may recall that Mark Cuban offered Donald Trump $10 Million to the charity of his choice if he would debate him for two hours, on the issues alone. Trump never took his offer. The people in this White House are cowards.

Creeping Fascism in Plain Sight: WH Suspends Troublesome Reporter 30 Days.

When one aspires to a fascist or fascist-like leadership position, the first thing one does is wrestle control of the media. This is certainly not genius insight, indeed I believe it is likely taught in high school. That is why it is critical that we all pay attention when this particular White House, and this particular president, make a clear move against the First Amendment, in an attempt to control the press. Could anything be more obvious? Brian Karem, the chief White House correspondent for Playboy magazine, said Friday that his press pass is being suspended for 30 days in what he called an “anti-First Amendment move.” Damn right. Unless, you started a fight or something. Except, he did not, and the White House knows this all too well. The suspension will begin Monday, Karem said. In an interview late Friday, he said the White House told him the suspension was related to his actions in the Rose Garden nearly a month ago, where he infamously sparred with former White House aide Sebastian Gorka. The White House wrote that Karem “failed to abide by basic norms of decorum and order” on July 11, Karem said. The letter further suggested that Karem had been rude to Gorka — “a guest of the president.” Anyone who follows the news much has seen that clip, and the most charitable view (to the White House’s position) would be to say that Karem did not handle the “attack initiated by the President’s guest” perfectly. I mean that, by the way. He could have handled it better, and he could have handled it much, much, worse – but did not. He was flat ambushed by Gorka, an oily fascist himself. So, what is this really about? Oh, perhaps it is because Karem has been a thorn in both Sarah Huckabee-Sanders’ side and Trump’s hide, for quite some time. Perhaps you recall him asking Sarah Huck if she did not have any empathy, “as a parent,” for the kids separated at the border? Anyone who doesn’t have empathy for kids separated from parents, even parents who DO commit crimes, anyone without empathy for the innocent kids, is without any redemption and not fit to work in the White House. She could have answered the question easily: “Of course I do. However, there are several moving parts to this and we are attempting to stop other parents from risking their children’s lives in the journey from Central America, we do not want innocent children’s lives lost due to  …” Or even: “My private feelings about any policy are not relevant to the president’s decisions. Thus I will not ever comment upon my personal feelings.” See? I do not believe a single word of either answer for a second, however they are the types of answers that a press secretary for the White House ought to be able to make off the cuff, I sure did. But this White House doesn’t work that way. They take pride in inflicting pain without empathy. They want their voters, their base, to know it, wink wink. Ironically, another clear sign of fascism is a total denial of empathy for the perceived “enemy.” They learn that in high school, too, all too well. Regardless, the White House knows that Gorka went after that guy. Indeed, Gorka […]
