Trump Honors Elon ‘He Does Good At Rockets’ Musk and Inventor Of The Wheel...

This is not going to be a banner headline story over at Fox News, because it’s too embarrassing even for Sean Hannity and the MAGAts to watch without squirming. Donald Trump has been very forthcoming on a number of subjects in Davos. He called Jerry Nadler a “sleazebag” and then he praised Elon Musk and that other fine American, no, no not Edison……oh, yeah, the guy who invented the wheel. “Well, you have to give him credit. I spoke to him very recently, and he’s also doing the rockets, he likes rockets, and, uh, he does good at rockets too. And I was worried about him because he’s one of our great geniuses, and we have to protect our geniuses. You know, we have to protect Thomas Edison, and we have to protect all of these people that, uh, came up with, originally, the light bulb and the wheel, and all of these things.” What about fire? We should protect that guy, too, right? Except it probably was a woman who invented fire because she needed to dry her hair. Or, maybe she used the wheel to mash potatoes. Necessity is a mother, and all that. Trump on Elon Musk: "He's also doing the rockets. He likes rockets, and he does good at rockets, by the way." pic.twitter.com/re6CyRi6HY — Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) January 22, 2020 “We have to protect Thomas Edison.” Trump is about to order Secret Service protection for Thomas Edison, isn’t he? — Joel Klebanoff (@JoelKlebanoff) January 22, 2020 Well, I think the least he can do is order Secret Service protection for Edison. I mean, Fredrick Douglass has it, right? As a Canadian… every time I see that clown speak… I have to watch this and thank our lucky stars.https://t.co/ovrxwadMMt — Óle Josephson (@d2mac420) January 22, 2020 Two schools of thought on the wheel. One is that Ben Franklin and Jesus did it. They were out inventing one day and Ben said, “I’ll take the kite. Jesus, take the wheel.” Then there’s this: The wheel was invented in a garage in Wheeling, West Virginia by the Wheeler brothers. It was actually a happy accident, as they were actually working on inventing the pizza. pic.twitter.com/eaSkA9PyPt — Hysterical Raisins (@HRaisins) January 22, 2020 Not for the first, nor certainly the last time, do I find myself wondering, how do they stay in business at The Onion? Mad Magazine went out of business last year, after publishing for fifty, and that’s no wonder, but how does the poor Onion maintain with this consummate moron playing POTUS on TV?

Trump’s Inaugural Committee Sued For $1 Million For Violating Non Profit Status At D.C....

While Donald Trump is yucking it up in Davos and retweeting dozens of tweets about the impeachment trial in the senate, other wheels are in motion against his perpetual grifting. The attorney general of Washington, D.C. sued Trump’s inaugural committee and the Trump organization Wednesday, for violation of its non profit status by spending over $1 Million to book a ballroom at the Trump International Hotel which staffers knew was “overpriced” and “barely used.” The complaint asks for the money back, to be given to charities promoting civic engagement. Washington Post: During the lead-up to Trump’s January 2017 inauguration, the committee booked the hotel ballroom for $175,000 a day, plus more than $300,000 in food and beverage costs, over the objections of its own event planner. The committee was formed to organize the events around the inauguration, but [D.C. Attorney General Karl] Racine alleges it instead “abandoned this purpose and violated District law when it wasted approximately $1 million of charitable funds in overpayment for the use of event space at the Trump hotel.” “These charges were unreasonable and improperly served to enrich” Trump’s business, the complaint reads. He alleges that Trump and his daughter, Ivanka Trump, were likely aware of the charges, based on documents Racine subpoenaed from the committee and the Trump Organization. Even Rick Gates, who was one of the inaugural committee chairmen, tried to cool things down. He emailed Ivanka and said that the cost of the ballroom “seems quite high compared to other properties” and said he was worried about negative publicity. This was particularly true due to the fact that other hotels in the area were offering space for free, for the inauguration. Bottom line, it’s the Trump crime family in action, never missing a chance to scam a few dollars anyway it can. And don’t forget, federal prosecutors in New York have an open criminal investigation into donations and spending by the committee and have issued their own subpoenas. Trump hasn’t heard the last of this.
