Kevin McCarthy has made his official pronouncement. He will oppose an investigation into the Jan. 6 insurrection, an attempt to overturn U.S. democracy. This is not surprising. Investigating a violent affair that left five dead and attempted to undo an election doesn’t matter. Holding fake vote counting efforts in Arizona doesn’t matter. Voter suppression apparently doesn’t matter.
