Battle of the Billionaires As GOP Mega Donors Sink $25 Million In Ads To Save Cash-Strapped Trump

Republicans, especially those in battle ground states, are livid that there is no counter programming to the pro-Biden, anti-Trump advertising that Democrats are saturating the airwaves with now, after a cash-strapped Trump campaign was forced to go dark. Then Michael Bloomberg pledged to spend $100 Million in advertising in Florida alone to promote Joe Biden. So that got the GOP stirred up and now a super PAC, Preserve America, is set to spend $25 Million of Las Vegas casino magnate Sheldon Adelson’s and WalMart’s Bernie Marcus’ money to save Trump’s sorry behind. Politico:

With Trump’s once-formidable cash advantage over Biden erased, the president’s advisers remain deeply concerned about the air war. While Preserve America has dished out $55 million this month alone — already making it one of the highest-spending outside groups this election year — the sum pales in comparison to the $100 million, pro-Biden assault that billionaire former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is prepping in just Florida alone. And in August, the Biden campaign and affiliated committees outraised Trump by $154 million.

“If the Democrat message drowns out all the Republican message on TV that could make a huge difference,” said Club for Growth President David McIntosh, whose group has been running TV ads bolstering Trump. “You have to stay in the game at least.”

The Trump ads do not tout Trump’s successes, because there are none, they just do ad hominem attacks on Joe Biden, for he is “weak” whereas Trump art strong. I hope I don’t throw up. This is what it’s going to look like for the next 46 days. When you’ve got no achievements and no policies going forward, smear is all there is.

Your move, Mr. Bloomberg.
