House Judiciary Dems Release First Two in Series – Trump’s #5CrimesIn5Days

House Judiciary Committee Democrats have release the first two of five videos highlighting testimony from Robert Mueller’s hearing concerning the *Resident’s highly impeachment worthy criminal acts at #5CrimesIn5Days. The first, released on Monday, details drumpf’s efforts to have White House Counsel Don McGahn fire Mueller: And the second, release yesterday, examines drumpf’s efforts to make McGahn lie about the first crime, constituting yet another crime. Critics of the hearing have said that “there is no there there”, that they were not dramatic enough and that Muller’s witness lacked some sort of vague “Wow Factor”. Bur Bob Mueller did great, just dispassionately laying out the findings of his investigation. It’s up to our leadership to point this out, and up to us to spread the word. Dispatch from The Airline Wars – Trump Ridicules American Airlines CEO,...

(Above – I’d like to help you out al Baker but my hand’s a little light.) During a July 18th meeting in the Oval Office, which was held in secret and is just now being reported out by NBC news, CEOs of some of the biggest airline employers in the states (and other interested parties) met with Trump, Mulvaney and the new PressSec to protest that three middle-east carriers —  Emirates, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways —  are subsidized by their governments and undercutting their businesses. Trump responded by ridiculing American Airline’s CEO Doug Parker for his stock prices, fixating on Delta Chief Ed Bastian’s decision to not show and told the Americans to take it up with his Department of Transportation – where it is NBC’s determination that they will lose. USA Today “The three CEOs outlined their problems with government subsidies given the airlines — Emirates, Etihad Airways and Qatar Airways — by Qatar and the United Arab Emirates in an op-ed published by USA TODAY on July 15. “Subsidies allow these carriers to fly money-losing flights in a way no rational commercial airline could afford,” the three CEOs wrote. They added, “This administration knows a trade violation when it sees one. The United States must act decisively to hold Qatar and the UAE accountable. Failure to do so would reward bad behavior and signal to other countries that they too are free to exploit American workers. That is a dangerous precedent that our airline workers and our country cannot afford.” Trump, according to NBC News, made fun of Parker for American Airlines’ stock prices and “repeatedly harped on Bastian’s absence.” NBC News reported in order to get Trump’s attention, the three American CEOs placed ads on Fox News.” There you have it, folks: America First! Or maybe second or third… but if you want a hearing make sure you go on Fox News.

Mark Meadows Texts Rick Santorum That Cummings is No Racist…and Neither...

(Above – I’ll text something on the down-low in a few days…) Talk about your profiles in courage… the Racist-in-Chief attacks your friend, calling your friend a racist who represents a “filthy place” where “no human being would want to live” and you wait to respond to this outrage for three news cycles before sneaking out a text to ex-senator frothy mixture to read on CNN so you won’t have to mouth a rebuke of drumpf yourself…. Business Insider “Republican Rep. Mark Meadows on Monday rejected President Donald Trump’s recent attacks on Democratic Rep. Elijah Cummings, roughly three days after the president’s onslaught of tweets against the Maryland lawmaker began. Trump in tweets over the weekend accused Cummings of allowing his congressional district, which includes much of Baltimore, Maryland, to become consumed by poverty and crime. Trump described Cummings’ district, which is majority African-American, as a “disgusting, rat and rodent infested mess” and a “very dangerous & filthy place.” After facing accusations of racism over his tweets, Trump called Cummings a racist. Meadows on Monday texted former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, who’s now a political commentator for CNN, stating, “No one works harder for his district than Elijah [Cummings]. He’s passionate about the people he represents, and no, Elijah is not a racist.” The Republican lawmaker added, “I am friends with both men, President Trump and Chairman Cummings, and I know them both well, and neither is a racist. And he offered to go to Baltimore with President Trump to see what they could do to remediate some of the problems they have there.” Of course the purpose of this ploy was not to defend Elijah Cummings, but to set up the false equivalence that both Cummings and Trump were called racists and Meadows can clear that all up right now by attesting that both are not. That and threatening Baltimore with a visit. Hasn’t that city suffered indignity enough at drumpf’s hands already, Mark?

USDA’s Food Stamp Cutback Will Kick 500,000 Kids Off School ...

Under the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture’s new food stamp program proposal up to a half a million children will no longer be automatically enrolled in School lunch programs, a fact that was disclosed to lawmakers in a phone call but left out of the formal announcement, in contravention of U.S. law. NBC News “WASHINGTON — The Trump administration determined that more than 500,000 children would no longer be automatically eligible for free school meals under a proposed overhaul to the food stamp program, but left that figure out of its formal proposal, according to House Democrats. The U.S. Department of Agriculture wants to crack down on eligibility for food stamps, estimating that 3.1 million Americans would lose benefits under the proposed rule that the agency unveiled on Tuesday. The proposal, however, did not include the USDA’s own estimate that more than 500,000 children would lose automatic eligibility for free school meals under the proposed change, according to Rep. Bobby Scott, D-Va., chair of the House Committee on Education and Labor. Under current law, children whose families receive food stamps are automatically enrolled in a federal program that offers free breakfast and lunch at school. The two benefit programs are linked to reduce paperwork and help ensure that children receive all the food assistance they qualify for.” You can read Rep. Scott’s letter here. In the letter Scott points out that this information MUST be included,  per Executive Order 12866 – Regulatory Planning and Review, in the announcement to the public, which has 60 days to comment on the proposal. Not only will parents have to now apply for the programs, creating a red tape nightmare for all involved, they might now have to pay 30 or 40 cents for each meal, money many on public assistance simply don’t have. Trump’s Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue, who doesn’t look like he’s missed many meals, of course frames the proposal as a means to help those in need. “That is why we are changing the rules, preventing abuse of a critical safety net system, so those who need food assistance the most are the only ones who receive it.” And I suppose the USDA will make up the monies lost to Big AG by gutting the Food Stamp program by increasing their subsidies from the FedGuv. Starve the kids while feeding the beast. The perfect Republican proposal.

Doctor of Putin Critic Alexei Navalny Says “chemical substances”, Not Allergies,...

(Above – Godspeed, Alexei.) Axios Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny was hospitalized Wednesday for an “allergic reaction,” following his arrest during mass protests against election authorities in Moscow, according to his spokeswoman. Navalny’s personal doctor later wrote on Facebook that she does not believe he is suffering from an allergic reaction, but the effects of “undefined chemical substances.”… … The “allergic reaction” is not Navalny’s first physical ailment resulting from his advocacy. In 2017, a chemical attack on his face caused him to lose 80% of his vision in one eye, per his website.” 2017 From his doctor’s face book post today: “I, as a doctor who treated the heavy burn of the surface of the eyes of alexei two years ago – I can confidently say that and in 2017, and now is the result of the damaging action of unknown chemicals. There is no allergy to alexei and never had. More than that – he ate the same food with all prisoners, no new perfumes or means of personal hygiene used. Today is especially scary for the injured right eye, which really with great difficulty managed to save. No one heals a developing kerato conjunctivitis, an ophthalmologist is not inspected. To check these facts, we strongly recommend that law enforcement agencies take on the chemical examination of navalny’s bedding, and the doctors would need to immediately take the scrapings from the skin, explore also the hair. Moreover, I personally believe that the main doctor of sharapova needs to be prosecuted for forensic examination, and also fast! Organize an observation of ophthalmologist (since she refuses my help), given the heavy ophthalmological history and real complaints and corresponding status oculorum (Ophthalmological status). I want to remind olga sharapova that failure to provide medical assistance is punishable in accordance with the Russian criminal code article 124. We are afraid of the delayed effects of damage, and we want to figure out what caused such massive damage to the skin covers and mucous. And I will personally insist on the right of a patient to choose a doctor and a medical organization in accordance with article 10 of the federal law no. 323, and on the fact that navalny, as any citizen of Russia has the right to receive a guaranteed amount of medical assistance in accordance with the detected pathology.” Meanwhile, Putin’s brutality against the street protesters continues unabated. See the bruises on the boy’s arm above? The girl in the red skirt came to protect him and he ended up protecting her. Coming soon to a theater near us? Please follow me on Twitter @durrati

Rep. Mark Meadows Silent In Wake Of Trump’s Racist Attack on...

(Above – ‘And then I told him to “go back” to his district.) One would think that after someone has done you a solid in a public, televised setting, calling you one of his “best friends” and taking your side against a member of his own caucus, that you would come to his defense when that friend is being attacked by a racist pig. Well, apparently not… if one is Mark Meadows. The Root (Parens mine) “During Michael Cohen’s congressional hearing Wednesday (Feb. 27th), GOP Representative Mark Meadows pushed back against the former Trump lawyer’s assertions that President Donald Trump is racist. He did so by trotting out Lynne Patton, his token black person and Trump appointee…. “She says that as a daughter of a man born in Birmingham, Alabama, that there is no way that she would work for an individual who was racist,” Meadows told Cohen, as if racist white people can’t be cool with one Negro while being anti-black to others. Later in the hearing, Tlaib correctly took Meadows to task. “Just because someone has a person of color, a black person, working for them does not mean that they aren’t racist,” Tlaib said to Meadows. “And it is insensitive … the fact that someone would actually use a prop, a black woman in this chamber, in this committee, is alone racist in itself.” Meadows cried a river of white tears, suggesting Tlaib called him racist—she didn’t—and then said that his nephews and nieces were people of color. This compelled Cummings to make a very big mistake: to cuddle Meadows’ fragile white feelings. Calling Meadows “one of my best friends” and saying that he didn’t believe Tlaib was calling him racist, Cummings asked Tlaib for clarity. In return, the congresswoman apologized if Meadows took her thoughts the wrong way. In effect, Cummings indirectly positioned Tlaib as the wrong party—not Meadows, even though he tried to protect a well-documented racist president by using Patton’s black face as cover. Below is the full exchange: I don’t know exactly how racist Mark Meadows is…. But I do know the NAACP gave him a big fat 0% positive rating for his votes this year. And I do know that Cummings came to his defense when he was called out by Talib for producing a boneheaded a stunt that could only be conceived in the mind of a racist (so it was probably at Trump’s behest) and called him a friend. So far we have heard nothing from Meadows about Trump’s racist attack on his “friend”. Whether Meadows is racist or not, he is certainly a shitty friend. Please follow me on Twitter @durrati

CNN Anchor Victor Blackwell Plumbs the Depths of Trump’s Vile Attack...

Victor Blackwell, who hosts CNN’s New Day Weekend got to the bottom of Trump’s despicable, racist Tweet attacking House Oversight Chair Elijah Cummings… … and reveals that drumpf uses the word infested only when attacking communities of color: Blackwell was born and raised in Cumming’s district in Baltimore, so he naturally got a little emotional while defending his home against Trump’s attack, which echoed some of the most vile propaganda produced by the Nazis. Below is a tweet of the segment above, those of you who use Twitter please retweet and make his response go viral. Trump should pay the political price for his words. ……………………………………………………………………………………… Please follow me on Twitter @durrati
