Nancy Pelosi has turned the Democratic house into what looks like a circus of spineless hacks with fingers in the wind to see when and if it will be safe if ever to call for impeachment. Never mind the oath of office they took. Their duty to defend the constitution and the rule of law. Let’s take a poll and see if we can do the right thing or we should just maybe send out a strongly worded letter.
Talk about a circular firing squad, it was the ultimate in lack of self-awareness when Pelosi sniped at Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler for not holding Corey Lewandowski in contempt ‘right then and there’. This coming from the obstructionist in chief of any action to hold Trump accountable.
AOC sums it up brilliantly:
At this point, the bigger national scandal isn’t the president’s lawbreaking behavior – it is the Democratic Party’s refusal to impeach him for it.

As Senator Warren said:
“I understand that there are people who for political reasons say it’s not where we want to be, but my view is some things are above politics,” Warren responded.
The Democratic presidential candidate summed up the severity of the issue when she added that “every single person in Congress should be called on to vote and then to live with that vote for the rest of their lives.”
Warren and AOC are absolutely correct on this. At this point, Trump’s wanton lawlessness is a question that should be above politics. How many have died defending American democracy? Is it too much to ask the Democratic Congress to at least have the courage to do their sworn duty to defend American Democracy and hold Trump and his flunkies accountable?
Pelosi is sabotaging the Democratic congress and the Democratic Presidential candidates campaigns. She is enabling Trump’s worst behavior and encouraging him to act with absolute impunity. Before she does any more damage Pelosi should resign as leader. This has gone on for too long.
