Sen. Richard Blumenthal says Trump’s allies shouldn’t expect pardon in Russia probe

Trump has faced many legal battles and accusations. However, his money helped win through most of them, making him confident that the system will not harm him.

Same is true with his allies. They know that either money will save them, or popular opinion. However, Democrat Senator Richard Blumenthal tweeted that if convicted in the Russia probe, Trump’s allies shouldn’t expect any pardon.

Any witness counting on a Russia investigation pardon should think again.

Trump's loyalty is limited, witnesses can still be compelled to testify, and the pardons apply only to federal crimes.

It is quite clear that Trump pardoned Arpaio to prove that he rewards his supporters. Thus, someone needs to assure the public that Trump supporters aren’t above the law.
