George Papadopoulos left an Email trial of evidence, within the Trump Campaign Team, that his offers to set-up a Meeting with Putin — were Real.
They were not some phantom of his over-active imagination. They were not some “made up” story to keep his butt out of Jail. But they were actual proposals made at Trump “Brain-trust Meetings” — they were proposed Action Items, which caused consternation among some of those of more “moral” character in attendance.
The Email Evidence clearly shows this …
Trump campaign emails show aide’s repeated efforts to set up Russia meetings
Three days after Donald Trump named his campaign foreign policy team in March 2016, the youngest of the new advisers sent an email to seven campaign officials with the subject line: “Meeting with Russian Leadership – Including Putin.”
The proposal sent a ripple of concern through campaign headquarters in Trump Tower. Campaign co-chairman Sam Clovis wrote that he thought NATO allies should be consulted before any plans were made. Another Trump adviser, retired Navy Rear Adm. Charles Kubic, cited legal concerns, including a possible violation of U.S. sanctions against Russia and of the Logan Act, which prohibits U.S. citizens from unauthorized negotiation with foreign governments.
To experts in Russian intelligence gathering, the Papadopoulos chain offers further evidence that Russians were looking for entry points and playing upon connections with lower-level aides to penetrate the 2016 campaign.
Papadopoulos, a former intern and researcher at the conservative Hudson Institute, was on a list of campaign volunteers that Trump announced as his foreign policy advisory team during a meeting with The Post’s editorial board in March 2016. Trump called Papadopoulos an “excellent guy.”
Of course among the more “amoral” at the Trump “strategy meetings” in early 2016 — there was a different type of reaction. Rather than being concerned, a few at the “Excellent Coffee” meeting said in effect “We should do this.” George Papadopoulos’ persistence had paid off. And off he went, into the FBI purview a short time later …
George Papadopoulos: Trump ‘nodded’ at suggestion of Putin meeting
WASHINGTON – In March 2016, when Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos told candidate Donald Trump he could arrange a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, Trump “nodded with approval,” his defense team alleged in court documents filed Friday.
Papadopoulos was the first Trump aide to plead guilty in special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
“While some in the room rebuffed George’s offer, Mr. Trump nodded with approval and deferred to Mr. Sessions who appeared to like the idea and stated that the campaign should look into it,” Papadopoulos’ defense team stated in the documents.
Hopefully, Robert Mueller has already interviewed Sam Clovis and Charles Kubic, and anyone else of “moral conscience” at the “Coffee Boy” Meeting, on that fateful day (long before anyone ever heard of Fusion GPS or Carter Page.)
Hopefully, Robert Mueller has already corroborated the Email Evidence, with eye-witness testimony of exactly what Trump and Sessions agreed to (and others?) — when the smarter, law-abiding adults in the room, were all saying “No. No way. No how. Are you crazy?”
“Excellent Guy” George (and now convicted Felon), once had a seat a the Trump table.
Wake up and smell the Guilty Pleas you Trump-Team-traitors.
The smoking gun evidence — has a time and place. And an important Email trail.
The long arm of the Law has your number.
And the number is “20 to Life.”
As I noted previously … What Team Trump did is far worse than what Team Nixon did, by several magnitudes.
Lest we forget.
This cup’s on the House. The Big House.
Since you couldn’t win on your own merits, you resorted to conspiring with a foreign adversary, and their THEFT of private Campaign information — all to bolster your chances of winning.
This new “stupid” Watergate was about a hacking break-in and successful theft of some 30,000 electronic documents, from multiple Democratic National Campaign headquarters.
The only difference was the scope of the theft, and your reliance on foreign spies to do your dirty work for you. Oh yeah, your theft actually “worked” to swing the Election results your way. SO comparatively, the new Watergate (aka Trump-Russia-gate) is much, much worse than the original one.

This on-going corruption (of our democratic system of self-governing) must end. And end soon.
Vote this November like your country depended on it. Because it does.
