Two U.S. Presidents and one illegitimate so-called president have weighed in on Georgia’s 2018 gubernatorial race between Democrat Stacey Abrams and Republican Brian Kemp.

Barack Obama and Jimmy Carter have Abrams’ back. Donald Trump has Kemp’s back for now…for this hour—check Twitter.

Earlier in the month, Obama gave his endorsement to Abrams for her non-divisive campaign. On Monday, Jimmy Carter declared his support as well. The Associated Press quotes Carter below.

“Stacey Abrams is the right leader for our changing state who has consistently championed the American values we share: equality for all, excellent public schools for our children, and an economy where families from Plains to Plainville and Pooler have the opportunity to get ahead,” Carter said in a statement released by Abrams’ campaign.

Abrams told AP on Tuesday that she was honored to receive support from fellow Georgian Jimmy Carter.

Brian Kemp’s spokesperson, Ryan Mahoney, jealously dogged Carter with passive-aggressive, worn-out media myths, calling the Nobel Peace Prize Laureate a good man, but terrible president. (You know, cause Mahoney was once a U.S. president).

As for Abrams, Mahoney says, “Like Carter, (Abrams is) incredibly bright, incredibly liberal and would be an absolutely horrible governor.”

Mahoney could be a nice man, is incredibly conservative, and would be an absolutely horrible spokesman. Oh wait… he already is.

Here’s to more prominent endorsements for Stacey Abrams, a healthy campaign and a landslide win.
