That didn’t take long. ABC has pulled the plug on Roseanne after her racist tweet late last night.
ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey wasted no time:
Statement by Channing Dungey, president, ABC Entertainment: "Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show."

The outrage to the racist tweet was swift, causing consulting producer Wanda Sykes to walk away from the show.
I will not be returning to @RoseanneOnABC.

Valerie Jarrett, the target of Barr’s racist comment and a former senior adviser to President Obama, happens to have been scheduled to participate in a previously announced town hall on everyday racism.

ABC Entertainment is owned by Disney and the entertainment company’s chairman and CEO Robert Iger has chimed in with what is probably the final word.
Nevertheless, this is sort of an amazing idea from Twitter user @PartyCatOlivia — what if they simply recast the show with Wanda Sykes as the lead! They could pull off a “Becky”!
