Vice President Mike Pence will not have to worry about any “good guys” when he speaks at their annual gathering in Dallas this Friday. The NRA announced that no firearms will be allowed at the event that is supposed to draw upwards of 80,000 members.
But the NRA said the U.S. Secret Service will coordinate security for the Pence speech and will not allow weapons in the arena while he is present.
“As a result, firearms and firearm accessories, knives or weapons of any kind will be prohibited in the forum prior to and during his attendance,” the NRA said. A detailed list of prohibited items includes ammunition, drones, gun parts, firearm magazines, as well as signs and glass containers.
And I totally get that, because having a bunch of guns somewhere is super not safe. In fact putting yourself in a place where lots of people have lots of weapons is arguably some of the riskiest behavior you can participate in. Of course, Parkland families and virtually anyone else with a sense of decency, moral consistency, and logic are a little bit annoyed at how remarkably hypocritical the NRA and Mike Pence are. Here’s one Parkland student’s opinion.
The NRA has evolved into such a hilarious parody of itself. pic.twitter.com/6Pw6NTQAe6

That sums it up nicely. Of course, the blunt hypocrisy of this administration, and their two-faced lying and transparent scamming of American citizens is par for the course. Gov. Pence stunk, candidate Pence stunk, and Vice President Pence continues to stink to high heaven.
