With a completely straight and serious face — I assume — Newsmax has published an article that once again plays Donald John Trump as the victim of mean mean baddy bad minority loving Leftist — from Jews, to Muslims, Blacks and Mexicans — who continue to suggest that he is in fact a paper-thinly veiled bigot, racist, asshole.
They say this isn’t true, because he’s “never once” been caught in public or on camera or on a recording being bigoty. He’s “never once discriminated” and they think it’s really unfair that anyone says that he ever has. Yes, really.
“The leadership of America’s Jewish community owes President Trump — and America’s Jews — an apology,” they wrote. “In a world of rationality and justice, American Jews would be grateful to President Trump.”
“Will these mainstream Jewish leaders ever apologize to, much less thank, President Trump?” they asked. “Don’t hold your breath.”
They used identical language to argue for the other groups that must apologize to the commander-n-chief.
“The leadership of America’s Black community owes President Trump and African Americans a similar apology,” they wrote. “In a world of rationality and justice, African Americans would be grateful.”
And it goes on, and on, and on, saying that Muslims should be grateful, Mexicans should be grateful, LGBT should be grateful, and feminist — yes FEMINIST — should be grateful to Donald Freaking Trump.
Trump loves to repeatedly say that we now have record low unemployment for minorities such as African-Americans and Latinos. They should be grateful that he’s done such a great thing for them.
He says it all the time.
In his State of the Union address, he said he is “proud” that “African-American unemployment stands at the lowest rate ever recorded. And Hispanic-American unemployment has also reached the lowest levels in history.”
Earier this month, he also bragged about the latest jobs report, focusing in on minorities in particular.
On Twitter he cited that black unemployment is “the lowest ever recorded in our country.” And he jabbed: “Dems did nothing for you but get your vote!”
Exactly how well are they doing really?
As of the 1Q2018 the Total Unemployment Rates for those 19 and Over were as follows:
So that unemployment rate for Black people is still — still — nearly double that White people. Latinos are a least 50% higher. Asians doing better. Blacks and Latinos should be grateful to still be lagging behind by 80-50%? Why exactly? And what about those at age 16-19 which is another thing that Trump used to constantly talk about when telling the AA Community “What do you have to lose?”
So even after he’s been in command of our government for a year, the unemployment rate for youth is still more the double the rate of Whites and four times the rate for Asians.
And how about the wage and prosperity gaps?
The divide between the wealth of a typical black family and a typical white family today is vast. A median black family has just $1,700 in wealth—total assets minus total debt. Thirty years ago, that same family had $6,800 in today’s dollars. Latino families at the median have similarly small assets, just $2,000, and also saw a decline over the past three decades.
White median household wealth, meanwhile, is significantly higher: $116,800, up from $102,000 over the same period.
So black and Latino families at the middle have seen their wealth slip while white families in the middle saw their wealth rise. What does this look like projected into the future?
By 2053, just 10 years after the country is projected to become majority non-white, black median families will own zero wealth if current trends continue. Twenty years later, Latino median families will follow suit. White median families will continue to own six figures.
Don’t you feel grateful? Are you not entertained?
That of course is just looking at results and what he’s done for us lately, but has Trump truly “never once discriminated?”
I don’t like to blame a son for the sins of a father but there was the time his father was arrested at a KKK riot in Queens, which came up right after Donald said “He knew nothing about White Supremacists…” Seems like he should’ve known something since he was living with one.
“I don’t know anything about David Duke, okay,” Trump said. “I don’t know anything about what you’re even talking about with white supremacy or white supremacists. I don’t know, did he endorse me? Or what’s going on. Because I know nothing about David Duke. I know nothing about white supremacists.”
On Memorial Day 1927, brawls erupted in New York led by sympathizers of the Italian fascist movement and the Ku Klux Klan. In the fascist brawl, which took place in the Bronx, two Italian men were killed by anti-fascists. In Queens, 1,000 white-robed Klansmen marched through the Jamaica neighborhood, eventually spurring an all-out brawl in which seven men were arrested.
One of those arrested was Fred Trump of 175-24 Devonshire Rd. in Jamaica.
This is Donald Trump’s father. Trump had a brother named Fred, but he wasn’t born until more than a decade later. The Fred Trump at Devonshire Road was the Fred C. Trump who lived there with his mother, according to the 1930 Census.
The predication for the Klan to march, according to a flier passed around Jamaica beforehand, was that “Native-born Protestant Americans” were being “assaulted by Roman Catholic police of New York City.” “Liberty and Democracy have been trampled upon,” it continued, “when native-born Protestant Americans dare to organize to protect one flag, the American flag; one school, the public school; and one language, the English language.”
Then there was the time years later when his father angrily stated to one of his apartment managers that “You know I don’t rent to N*ggers.” What’s this got to do with Donald? He was standing right next to him, and said nothing.
“I asked him, ‘What do you want me to do with this application?’ He said, ‘You know I don’t rent to n—–s. Put it in your desk drawer.’ Donald was alongside of him. He was maybe 16, 17 years old at the time. He was learning the business of his father. He was right at his side.”
Donald, Leibowitz said, had “no reaction” to his father’s use of the slur.
Eventually Donald joined his fathers real estate company in the 70’s during which they were SUED FOR DISCRIMINATION by the Nixon Administration, twice.
NEW YORK — When a black woman asked to rent an apartment in a Brooklyn complex managed by Donald Trump’s real estate company, she said she was told that nothing was available. A short time later, a white woman who made the same request was invited to choose between two available apartments.
The two would-be renters on that July 1972 day were actually undercover “testers” for a government-sanctioned investigation to determine whether Trump Management Inc. discriminated against minorities seeking housing at properties across Brooklyn and Queens.
Federal investigators also gathered evidence. Trump employees had secretly marked the applications of minorities with codes, such as “No. 9” and “C” for “colored,” according to government interview accounts filed in federal court. The employees allegedly directed blacks and Puerto Ricans away from buildings with mostly white tenants, and steered them toward properties that had many minorities, the government filings alleged.
After a fierce battle of motions and counter motions where Trump and his attorney Roy Cohn accused the government of using “Gestapo tactics” and “coercion” to get his workers to make false claims — a settlement was reached which simply required the Trump organization to stop discriminating and advertise that they were “equal opportunity housing.” Both of these requirements they refused to honor claiming that the advertising was “expensive” — as if they didn’t already have advertising — and just a few years later their properties were rented by only 5% African-Americans — even in Brooklyn — so in 1979 they were sued again.
The Federal Government charged yesterday that Trump Management, which owns 15,000 apartment units in Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island, was continuing to discriminate against blacks although it had signed a court stipulation not to do go.
In a motion for supplemental relief filed in Federal District Court in Brooklyn, the civil rights division of the Justice Department said that officers and agents of Trump Management have not complied with a June 1975 court order by continuing to deny apartments to black persons because of race.
By 1983 two Trump properties were still occupied 95% by Whites even when Blacks were 30% of the local population in the area.
Paul Davidoff, director of the Metropolitan Action Institute, a nonprofit fair-housing group, cited Brightwater Towers, Bayridge Towers and two Trump Village facilities as among those with small percentages of nonwhite tenants. Brightwater and the Trump developments both have white majorities of at least 95 percent, according to estimates by the Division of Housing and Community Renewal. In his report, Mr. Davidoff charged that blacks accounted for only 21 percent of the ”minority” category at Starrett because of the development’s Hispanic, Asian, Indian, and other nonwhite residents. ‘‘The disparity understates the impact of the racial quota on black families in Brooklyn, where blacks alone comprise 30 percent of the population,”
So how exactly does that happen when there was “never once any discrimination?”
And when Trump started buying and building his own properties including running Casinos in Atlantic City he stated that they were “Lazy” and he didn’t like black people touching his money — because he prefers “little guys with yarmulkas’ to do his accounting.
Trump allegedly disparaged his black casino employees as “lazy” in vividly bigoted terms, according to a 1991 book by John O’Donnell, a former president of Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino.
“And isn’t it funny. I’ve got black accountants at Trump Castle and Trump Plaza. Black guys counting my money! I hate it,” O’Donnell recalled Trump saying. “The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day.”
His local managers, knowing that he didn’t like seeing black employees on the Casino floor, would actually have them hide when the Trumps showed up for a visit.
Kip Brown, a former employee at Trump’s Castle, accused another one of Trump’s businesses of discrimination. “When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor,” Brown said. “It was the eighties, I was a teenager, but I remember it: They put us all in the back.”
Back of the bus, back of the Casino — what’s the diff?
When five men who had been youths when they were falsely accused of assault and rape in Central Park using coerced confessions were finally released after DNA evidence and a genuine confession from the real rapist proved they were totally innocent — Trump called it “A total scam” when the City decided to pay them restitution for their years of wrongful incarceration.
Wading into a racially-charged case from his past, Donald Trump indicated that the “Central Park Five” were guilty, despite being officially exonerated by DNA evidence decades after a notorious 1989 rape case.
“They admitted they were guilty,” Trump said to CNN in a statement.
“The police doing the original investigation say they were guilty. The fact that that case was settled with so much evidence against them is outrageous. And the woman, so badly injured, will never be the same.”
When Trump ran his Miss Universe pageant he had a habit of hand picking the final contestants himself, and he had a clear bias for Eastern European girls and against women of color according to excerpts from David Corn and Michael Isakoff’s book Russian Roulette.
“In short, no woman was a finalist until Trump said so,” the excerpt reads. One Miss Universe staffer told the writers, “If there were too many women of color, he would make changes.” The excerpt continues:
Another Miss Universe staffer recalled, “He often thought a woman was too ethnic or too dark-skinned. He had a particular type of woman he thought was a winner. Others were too ethnic. He liked a type. There was Olivia Culpo, Dayanara Torres [the 1993 winner], and, no surprise, East European women.”
Additionally, another staffer noted, “If he didn’t like a woman because she looked too ethnic, you could sometimes persuade him by telling him she was a princess and married to a football player.” Trump would also reportedly reject women from competing in the beauty pageant if they “snubbed his advances,” according to the excerpt.
He’s also re-tweeted false racial crime statistics that originated on a White Supremacist Website which claims that 81% of White people are Murdered by Blacks in America, and when Neo-Nazis and the KKK held a rally in Charlottesville in 2017 he accused “both sides” of being violent when only people opposing the Nazis were murdered, injured and beaten nearly to a pulp in an attack against them that had been planned in advance. They even celebrated the death of Heather Heyer afterward.
Well before a white nationalist “Unite the Right” demonstration turned deadly in Charlottesville this month, attendees were planning for violence, according to leaked online chats. In private chat channels, they shared advice on weaponry and tactics, including repeatedly broaching the idea of driving vehicles through opposition crowds. After the vehicular attack which killed counterprotestor Heather Heyer, users of the channel celebrated the event.
There’s no indication that James Alex Fields, the driver of the car that killed Heyer and injured more than a dozen others, was part of the Discord discussion, but his act was celebrated and defended by users, including some who edited images of the carnage into memes that were intended to be humorous.
Organizers emphasized to Wired that they had repeatedly urged nonviolence. Nonetheless, a lawyer for two women injured in Charlottesville said that the leaked chats could form “the crux of the case” because they demonstrated a desire for violence.
Both sides didn’t do that.
In fact some of the Antifa group saved and protected clergy members from the Nazi hordes.
Harper said the worshippers—a group that included people of faith who traveled from far away to attend—were “fired up” by the end of the event. But as they filed out of the church, the evening took a dark turn.
A group of torch-bearing white supremacists unexpectedly stormed onto the University of Virginia campus directly across the street, shouting slogans such as “white lives matter” and “you will not replace us!” As the white-shirted hordes surrounded and harassed a small band of counter-protesters standing in front of a Thomas Jefferson statute, faith leaders quickly shut the doors of the church, instructing people to stay inside.
The religious leaders weren’t sure what spurred the surprise demonstration outside the church, but the message was clear: Hate had arrived.
“We got word that the church as being surrounded by white nationalists,” Harper said. “We ended up being held a lot longer because it wasn’t safe to leave.”Another pastor, Rev. Osagyefo Sekou, lead the group in hymns as they waited out the racists. Harper said one woman who tried to exit the church was promptly maced by white supremacists, and several observers—including ThinkProgress reporters—noted an unsettling lack of police presence.
A group of white supremacists broke through our line with shields,” Wispelwey said. “Some of them were screaming and spitting slurs [as they] physically shoved clergy aside with their shields.”
Clergy rearranged their positions to try and hold off another wave of white nationalists. But when the “the alt-right instigated their violence” down the street against counter-protesters, a group of Antifa intervened. The clergy took moment as a chance to disperse.
“That’s when Antifa saved our lives,” he said.
And of course Trump has proclaimed for years that President Barack Obama was illegitimate or illegal because there’s “something” wrong with his Birth Certificate, even though he’s never explained exactly what that is. jared Kushner has said to a worker at his paper the Observer that Trump isn’t Racist, he just likes to pander to racists in the Republican Party.
During a discussion on how to cover Trump, the former New York Observer editor, Elizabeth Spiers, claimed she told Kushner that she had serious problems with Trump’s repeated claims that Obama was not born in the U.S., to which Kushner allegedly told her: “He doesn’t really believe it, Elizabeth. He just knows Republicans are stupid and they’ll buy it.”
Of course that doesn’t explain the “I don’t rent to N*ggers*, Blacks are “lazy”, “I like guys with Yarmulkas”, hiding the help at his Casinos, his virulent and irrational reaction to the Central Park Five or anything else he’s done or said for the last 50 years — now does it?
And then there was the time that he encouraged police brutality against suspects, which like — isn’t at all a huge problem with police in minorities when according to data gathered by The Guardian they kill young black men at a rate that is four times higher than young white men and nine times higher than the general population.
Black males aged 15-34 were nine times more likely than other Americans to be killed by law enforcement officers last year, according to data collected for The Counted, an effort by the Guardian to record every such death. They were also killed at four times the rate of young white men.
And what’s he doing about that?
If fact he instead has said that the “Sons of Bitches” who have protested this type of police brutality and murder should be fired.
When it comes to Jews obviously there was the accountants in “Yarmulkas” thing but also there was the fact that both Trump and his father lied for years about their actual heritage falsely claiming that Trump’s grandfather was from Scandanavia when in fact he was from Germany and they didn’t want that fact to scare away wealthy Jewish clients in the wake of the Holocaust.
Fred joined his manifestly and proudly Germanic mother in the real estate business, constructing homes and apartment buildings. Many of the customers were Jewish and he began telling folks that he was Swedish. He became a big-time backer of Israel bonds.Fred’s mother, in the meantime, marked her 80th birthday by making a triumphal trip back to Kallstadt with a number of her grandchildren. Kallstadt also happened to be the hometown of the family that emigrated to found Heinz Foods in America. Unlike the Trumps, the Heinz clan never claimed to be anything but German.
Fred continued the fiction about Sweden. His son, Donald, then memorialized the lie in The Art the Deal. A reporter in Vanity Fair asked him in 1990 if he were not in fact of German origin. Donald responded as was his wont, with what was almost certainly more lying.
“Actually, it was very difficult,” Donald replied. “My father was not German; my father’s parents were German… Swedish, and really sort of all over Europe… and I was even thinking in the second edition of putting more emphasis on other places because I was getting so many letters from Sweden: Would I come over and speak to Parliament? Would I come meet with the president?”
Trump retweeted a clearly anti-semitic image of Hillary Clinton with the Star of David and images of money which also came from White Supremacists, when claiming that she was “most corrupt candidate ever”
But it doesn’t.
When it comes to Mexicans and Latinos Trump actually happens to still employ undocumented workers at his properties — just as he did in the 80’s when he hired the so-called Polish Gang for just $4 per hour and then still stiffed them on their payment.
The contractor used unionized US labor. Trump wanted the work done fast, though, so the contractor also hired about 200 undocumented workers from Poland. They were paid little, about $5 per hour off-the-books, and worked long hours with no overtime.
These are facts established via a lawsuit filed by union workers in 1983. They charged that the use of illegal labor had cheated their pension fund of $1 million in contributions.
From the first moment he began his Presidential campaign he — falsely — claimed that “Mexicans are Rapists” which is a complete lie. He said that a judge with Mexican heritage couldn’t rule on the Trump University case fairly because “I’m building a wall” between the U.S. and Mexico even though that judge had previously received death threats from the Mexican drug cartels.
He continues to claim that Immigrants “bring crime” when every data point and statistic says that they don’t.
Immigrant populations in the United States have been growing fast for decades now. Crime in the same period, however, has moved in the opposite direction, with the national rate of violent crime today well below what it was in 1980.
In a large-scale collaboration by four universities, led by Robert Adelman, a sociologist at the State University of New York at Buffalo, researchers compared immigration rates with crime rates for 200 metropolitan areas over the last several decades. The selected areas included huge urban hubs like New York and smaller manufacturing centers less than a hundredth that size, like Muncie, Ind., and were dispersed geographically across the country.According to data from the study, a large majority of the areas have many more immigrants today than they did in 1980 and fewer violent crimes. The Marshall Project extended the study’s data up to 2016, showing that crime fell more often than it rose even as immigrant populations grew almost across the board. In 136 metro areas, almost 70 percent of those studied, the immigrant population increased between 1980 and 2016 while crime stayed stable or fell. The number of areas where crime and immigration both increased was much lower — 54 areas, slightly more than a quarter of the total. The 10 places with the largest increases in immigrants all had lower levels of crime in 2016 than in 1980.
Also Trump’s immigration and deportation polices are ripping apart the families of law abiding citizens — and even targeting U.S. Citizens -— but it’s not doing much of anything to affect crime.
He’s claimed that Gold Star Father Khazir Khan was in league with ISIS, that hundreds of Muslims cheered when the Towers fell on 9/11, and he’s initiated a ban of multiple majority Muslim nations even though there have been NO SUCCESSFUL TERRORIST ATTACKS on the U .S. from immigrants or refugees who come from those countries.
Below, a list of successful and attempted terrorist attacks linked to radical Islamic ideology in the United States over the past 20 years, and an assessment of whether the travel ban about to go into effect might have prevented them.

- January 2016. A man shoots a police officer in Philadelphia. Would the ban have prevented this? No. The shooter appears to have been a native citizen.
- February 2016. A man attacks diners at a restaurant in Ohio with a machete. Would the ban have prevented this? No. He was a native of Guinea and held a green card.
- June 2016. Shooting at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando. Would the ban have prevented this? No. The shooter was born in Queens.
- September 2016. A stabbing attack at a mall in Minnesota. Would the ban have prevented this? No. The attacker was born in Kenya and moved to the United States at the age of 3 months.
- September. A bomb is detonated in Manhattan. Would the ban have prevented this? No. The attacker was born in Afghanistan and was a naturalized citizen.

- January. A man opens fire at the Fort Lauderdale airport. Would the ban have prevented this? No. He was a citizen, born in the United States.
Of the 24 attacks listed above, only two might have been prevented had the perpetrator been subject to the full travel ban Trump has proposed. One would have had to have been rejected at the age of 2. No deaths would have been prevented.
So if this ban wouldn’t have saved a single life from Terrorism over the past 20 years — why exactly is he trying to ban them? What’s the real reason?
Trump also continues to say that he really won the popular vote because — well — California is obviously chock full of (black and latino) election cheaters.
On LGBT rights he choose Mike Gay Conversion Therapy Pence as his Vice President and that alone would be “Nuff ‘Said” except he’s also got Betsy Devos as Secretary of Education and she’s been removing anti-discrimination protections in our schools, while Ben Carson has been doing the same thing in Housing and Trump himself has been trying to ban transgendered people in the military.
Trump’s “family leave” plan doesn’t really work for people — particularly women — working part time or with small businesses who may need it most.
The White House budget dispels any hopes Trump might keep his promise to extend a helping hand to the nation’s millions of small business workers with a family and medical leave act that works for them.
Instead, the Trump team hands American workers an empty envelope.
Trump’s budget does include paid family leave, but as analysts unpack the proposal, it has become increasingly clear that his plan, unlike the FAMILY Act, doesn’t work for small businesses, their employees, or their communities.
And then there’s Trump’s entire long sordid history of sexual assault up to and including multiple allegations of rape and the entire Stormy Daniels, Jessica Drake, Karen McDougal, Summer Zervos mess.
Which is a thing, you don’t even want to know.
And yet Newsmax thinks that any of these people should apologize to Trump because he’s “Never once discriminated?”
I can already tell what the answer is going to be for most of them: Fuck That and FUCK YOU.
And sure I get that his sons say he “can’t be” racist because Rappers like to take pictures with him, or rather they used to, well, except for Kanye. Or that he can’t be racist because he only “sees one color, Green.” And he consistently says he’s the “Least Racist Person — On Earth — You’ll Ever Meet”
Right. So everything I just quoted above is what? Just Bad Press? Mean people out to get him because they’ve had nothing else better to do for the last 40 years?
I have an even better question, when has he ever stood up for the rights of the truly vulnerable and the down trodden? When has he ever argued against the bully and in defense of the bullied? When has he ever done what was right, not what was convenient or what might make bigots like him more? When’s he done anything for anyone else where he didn’t something in return — including bragging rights for having done it?
When has he ever challenged the underlying precepts of White Supremacy?
I think the real answer to that is: Never once.
