More time for them to fundraise, I guess, which makes sense if they’ve given up on passing legislation that might cause people to want to vote for them. If they don’t have accomplishments to point to—and their one major legislative accomplishment isn’t very popular—they’ll be needing a lot of money for negative ads to help them hang onto their majority.
It’s so hard when your party controls the White House and both houses of Congress.
