Washington Post / YouTube The history of Trump and Amazon...

Amazon has lost 60 Billion Dollars in value in just a little over a week since the dipshit in the WH started railing against it on March 28th. It’s stock declined over 5% just today, sparking another huge sell off on the DOW Jones after a spastic projectile attack of twitter diarrhea from drumpf this morning.

“Amazon has lost $60 billion in market value since Axios first reported Trump is “obsessed” with the company on March 28.

Since then, Trump has repeatedly suggested Amazon takes advantage of the US Postal Service and doesn’t pay its fair share of tax.

In fact, Amazon pays the same lower rate that the post office charges other bulk shippers, and it collects sales tax in every state that charges it. Amazon does not collect sales tax on purchases made from third-party vendors.

Trump has a long-held grudge against Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, who also owns The Washington Post — a paper whose aggressive coverage of the administration has drawn the president’s wrath.

“Any time Trump, or any president, starts interfering in corporate behavior, that is concerning for the market,” Browne said.”

Uh, Republicans in Congress, it is concerning not just for the market, it is concerning for everybody in the damn country.

If this madness continues, and there is no reason to believe it will not, it could take down the market and the economy with it.

Vanity Fair reports that since adults like Gary Cohn out of the way, drumpf feels freed of constraint and empowered to wage Jihad on Jeff Bezos who could buy and sell the fake billionaire and genuine arsehole with the loose change from his couch.

(paren mine)

“Now (and keep in mind this was written today), according to four sources close to the White House, Trump is discussing ways to escalate his Twitter attacks on Amazon to further damage the company. “He’s off the hook on this. It’s war,” one source told me. “He gets obsessed with something, and now he’s obsessed with Bezos,” said another source. “Trump is like, how can I fuck with him?”

And boy does he have ideas.

“According to sources, Trump wants the Post Office to increase Amazon’s shipping costs. When Trump previously discussed the idea inside the White Hose, Gary Cohn had explained that Amazon is a benefit to the Postal Service, which has seen mail volume plummet in the age of e-mail. “Trump doesn’t have Gary Cohn breathing down his neck saying you can’t do the Post Office shit,” a Republican close to the White House said. “He really wants the Post Office deal renegotiated. He thinks Amazon’s getting a huge fucking deal on shipping.

Advisers are also encouraging Trump to cancel Amazon’s multi-billion contract with the Pentagon to provide cloud computing services, sources say. Another line of attack would be to encourage attorneys general in red states to open investigations into Amazon’s business practices. Sources say Trump is open to the ideas.”

A sitting President of the United States is actively seeking to destroy one of our most important companies and one of our biggest employers because it is owned by a man who is legitimately one of the richest men in the world who owns a Newspaper that is mean to him.

Maurice Ross, an Intellectual Property, Entertainment, and Criminal Defense attorney thinks so.

And so do I.

And so does Charlie.

  1. Trump’s false tweets about Amazon directly resulted in a $60B loss of its market value. According to a number of case precedents, what Trump did is clearly considered securities fraud (i.e., spreading false information which caused Amazon’s stock value to decline)! Affected Amazon investors should file a class action v. Trump for their financial loss.
