How did Conor Lamb win in a 2016 +20 Donald Trump district?
Jon Favreau explains it in one tweet:
Conor Lamb campaigned:
1. For universal health care
2. Against TrumpâÂÂs tax cut
3. For expanded background checks
4. For stronger unions
5. Against cuts to Social Security
6. For a womanâÂÂs right to choose
7. For medical marijuana
âÂÂConservative Democrat.â Ok. Cool.

If Lamb won running on these issues, in a heavily red gerrymandered district, then Democrats in 114 bluer districts can win too. Bottom line, Trump’s agenda is not in step with the majority of the American people. Not even in a red district like #PA18.
But the contest wasnever supposed to be competitive. In fact, there are 114 Republican-held House seats more competitive than Pennsylvania’s 18th, according to a Democratic tabulation of the Cook Political Report’s partisan voting index.
November 6th, 2018 is the reckoning for the Republican Party.
