Here’s some uplifting news! Capt. Thomas Moore, a 100-year-old British WWII vet, set a goal of doing 100 laps in his garden (yard, in America) to raise 1000 British Pounds for the UK’s National Health Service (NHS) to aid their efforts to fight COVID-19. Instead, his efforts went viral around the world and he ended up raising 40,000,000 British Pounds and touching the hearts of millions everywhere.
As of today, he will forever be known as Sir Thomas Moore after Queen Elizabeth knighted him at Windsor Castle in a ceremony attended by his children and grandchildren, but with careful distancing.
Congratulations, Sir Thomas! Well deserved!
